On previous 6 series trucks the steering rack (going to aluminum vs the stock plastics) has been a helpful upgrade. Once you bend the first tie-rod, go to Titanium. They offer different weighted front bulkheads (made of different materials) as well. My 6.1 was a durable truck, hoping the 6.4 (once I get it built) is just as durable..

After 3 club races with the t6.4, I can say the upgrade was completely worth it. It feels more stable and I can throw it into the turns harder and maintain more speed through the turns. Traction rolling with the 6.2 was a major issue, I have yet to traction roll the 6.4 even when I over drive the truck trying to make up lost time.

I will be picking one up for the up coming fall/winter season. I totally agree with the traction rolling issue, was hard to get a perfect setup that you can drive hard on sharp corners.

I'm most curious on what ride height and shock package are you running? I can't get mine to land the way I want, not sure if I need more droop, different pistons or what. Running 19mm ride height, kit shocks with 37.5wt front, 35wt rear, +1 internal limiter in the rear.

- Front 2x1.7/37.5wt/truck gray/29mm stroke/+0 eyelet/4mm external limiter
- Rear 2x1.8/32.5wt/truck white/36mm stroke rear/+0 eyelet/4mm external limiter
- 16mm Ride Height (body off)
Ride height is key to limiting traction roll. I could never get the truck lower than 19mm with the old shocks.
Also tires: Jconcepts Fuzz Bite rears (mounted less aggressive direction) and Swagger fronts with Sidewall GLUED up to the first rib.
I'm going to be trying 2.5mm 1.6 front pistons when I build my T6.4. Tried them on a friends buggy last week and they were great.

i know it's not what they're mint for, but has anyone tried bashing one of these trucks yet? BMX trails? skate park? heck just around the yard? wondering how well they work for that kind of usage.

yes, they are Avid machined blanks and I use a schelle drill.. I have the same piston setup in my b6.4. I like the 3 hole for more initial dampening and the 2.5mm has more pack.. the truck lands better without slapping and allows the truck to lean but not completely roll the chassis over in the corners.

so whats the deal with the rear hinge pins spacers not fitting right and needing to be sanded down for the arms to move smooth?? had same issue with B74.1D, and now the T6.4 you would think by now crap like that would've been ironed out..
