Default Rx Loosing Connection

Looking for some insights. I'm loosing control of one of my two cars at the same place on the track. At the end of the backstraight it's as if the car goes dead. No steering, no throttle. Sometimes it will glitch and turn in or out. The curious thing is, it doesnt do it all the time and the first time I ran the car at last months club race, I had no issues. The timing loop is on that end of the track but not where I'm having the problem. The motor is different though. I'm running USGT 21.5 Surpass, HobbyWing XR10 Pro, Savox low profile black edition, Mylaps pro transponder, Sanwa 482 Rx. Fan plugged into the Rx. The other car I have no issues with. Same Trans different model Rx. I've tried three different Rx's. Rebound the radio multiple times. Recalibrated the Tx to ESC multiple times.

Sure could use some help, Thanks Rob....

Can you go back and try a different motor again?

Rob, is the ESC still running or is the car off after it glitches?

Jonathon,
The ESC stays on. One time the car totally stopped. I got off the stand and got about 20' from the car and it fired back up again. It was odd. That was the Main. I went back to the Driver Stand and warmed up a few laps. It glitched a couple time just before the loop. Once the race started, it was fine for the whole Main... I thought maybe the servo was causing the ESC to "brown" out but idk...

Maybe the bec in the esc is damaged and doesn’t supply enough voltage to the receiver. This would definitely cut the range short and even sometimes cause the receiver to go into fail safe. Worth exploring.

Thanks guys.
Martin,I did bump the bec output with the programming card to no avail. Certainly could be the issue. I have another speedo I can try but I worked fine on the first race day last month?

One of the two Rx's I tried was an old gen fhss2 model like I have in my TC. Same issue. No problem in the TC though. Where I stood on the Stand did have an affect. Also "who" was standing next to me had an effect also.

I suggested the esc because you had pretty much covered everything else. One idea I just had, though, is that it might be related to the battery. If one of your connectors goes bad, you might have some resistance that would be enough to drop the voltage significantly. Might be worth to look at.

I swapped servos thinking the power hungry Savox may be part of the issue. No change. Even running in my driveway. When the car disappeared behind my truck, it lost connection. No throttle, no steering, then came back as I walked up to it. I'm maybe 50' away when this happened.
Could the Capacitor be an issue? Causing it to brown out? I'm going to swap motors, because it worked fine before I changed it, then ESC.

Looks like a Rookie mistake. Tx battery was down below 50% @ about 3.7v per, for 2cell. Charged it up and issue appears to be resolved. I'll find out once I get to run it at next Track day.....
