What would be a good replacement battery for a VXL Slash 2wd? I want to stay with a 2s battery. Thanks, Dave.

I've had great luck with the SMC packs. Great bang for the buck in my opinion.

I bought some of these last year and so far have had great luck with them. They all take pretty close to the rated capacity when I charge them and I haven't seen any degradation after a year of use.

Trying to setup my new 2wd slash for spec carpet racing (OEM electronics and tires) and I'd like to upgrade the stock shocks to GTR Long and XXLong on my LCG chassis. What aftermarket or non- Traxxas springs will fit on GTR shocks? Team Associated, TLR, Proline, VG???
thanks in advance.

You will need 13MM Springs. Losi TEN SCTE Springs will fit. Buy the whole set. Easier to tune when you have multiple Springs to choose from.

Losi: Front Racing Spring Set: TEN: Losi (LOSB2959)

Losi: Rear Racing Spring Set: TEN: Losi (LOSB2963)

When I was racing my 2WD Slash In the modified class on outdoor clay against TLR and associated trucks, the GTR shocks with the Losi TEN SCTE Springs made a huge difference in how the truck handled. Once I got the suspension dialed in, there were a lot of drivers getting mad because they got beat by a Slash. LOL 😆 🤣

Associated SC10 4X4 (13MM) springs also fit Traxxas GTR shocks and have slightly different spring rates from the Losi springs.

I think the Tekno ET410 springs will also fit but I haven't tried them yet.

I need to limit the downtravel on the new GTR shocks. They're a bit longer than the stock ultra shocks. Are there any easy solutions? Can I just use fuel tubing or should they be hard?

Definitely use hard plastic, fuel tubing will eventually tear. There should be shock spacers in the GTR rebuild kit, those will match the existing rear ones nicely.

Yup, the Tekno ET410 springs fit the GTR shocks nicely, I'm running a set on mine, you can get them in pretty stiff rates (red or orange).

Is it weird i'm still running the Ultra shocks on my race truck? Only thing i did with them is swap out the shafts to the Ti-Ni shafts, and running a slightly heavier oil.

if patrick rotisser can TQ INS11 with stock springs, they can't be that bad.

Does anyone know whether the new Drag Slash transmission will work on a normal Slash 2wd short course truck?

I called Traxxas to ask and they said yes.

only reason I upgraded to gtr Shocks was because the stock ultra shafts bent on the first few runs. Otherwise, the aluminum shock caps on ultra Shocks worked ok. I feel the shock package is a little more "supple" with larger volume Shocks tho... not needed but nice to have
