What Ellipse tire compound is comparable to a Pro Line S3 running slicks? Silver or Aqua? I've tried silvers and they seem fairly close and it's been awhile since I've tried Aqua. I did notice that side grip on the silver was a little different than the S3.

I saw on FB that some of the sponsored drivers were running truggy bodies that do not go over the tower (similar to the Tekno) but for other brands. Is there going to be those types of bodies available for other brands, for consumers? If so, which brands?

Aqua is our long wear soft compound and would be similar. Silver is a clay compound and has become very popular even when Aqua/S3 compounds work.

Yes, for the Nationals we made a prototype that we used on multiple brands and we do plan to make them for several brands. We haven't decided which brands, but my guess is Mugen, AE, Tekno will be first.

Cool thanks for the response. I will certainly try the AE if that ends up being made.

We did get some stuff in, but I will need to check. What compound Ellipses where you looking for?

So you do have soft long wear. Just a wee bit confusing on the chart since A2/A3 fall under dry groove and no mention of long wear lol. Orrrrr maybe Im slow lol.

I can see where it's a bit confusing since we are no longer really labeling it as "long-wear". Aqua is slowly replacing our long-wear (R2/O2O2/Y2 being discontinued) compounds and will just be known as our "dry groove" compound. The original long-wear compounds were very heat sensitive and needed high temps, but the Aqua compound has a broader temp range and can be run in mild temps on a grooved track or even indoors on med/high bite conditions.

I tried searching in here but couldn't find the answer. Does JC still make Aqua 2 and Aqua 3 compound that are listed on their tire chart? All I can find is A2 compound.

A2 is the current "Aqua" that is already available. A3 has not been released yet and is still currently being tested/tweaked for final production as our standard blue/soft compound is still the preferred choice by our team drivers.

So once A3 is released it will replace the blue compound? If I'm looking for a compound for indoor clay that's dusty and low bite should I get the current blue compound or the A2 compound?
