We also do not police any weight regs for any cars at club race..

Brilliant, slick on spokes. Going to have to try that

I really like that Mc Allister C7 Daytona body. Nice blend of Super car meets production car. Since they let Super car bodies run these days why not ? Seems like gone are actual 4 Door "Touring Car" bodies. I must have missed a rule change.? In San Diego, San Marcos really, super car bodies like the Turismo are allowed. Is it the same in LA ? Anyone know where to get one of those Mc Allister C7 bodies ?

Try mcallisterracing.com. I did a double take when you called it a C7 since the body was based on the Corvette Daytona Prototype that raced in 2012 and 2013, before the C7 came out. But I went to McAllister's website and yes, they now call it the C7 Daytona body and all they had to do was change the decal sheet that have the C7 headlights. I used to run this body in USGT when it was legal and it worked great and was probably the prettiest RC body I've ever had. However, though not as pretty, the Riley Daytona body worked better. I actually chose the P Zero as my USGT body based on that it looked more like the Riley GT than any other USGT body. Here's a photo of my C7 Daytona Body:

This was another great McAllister body before it was specifically not allowed.

have any of you noticed when a body, no matter which, is painted up like a real race car...it never gets as much "hate"... just saying...those bodies are beautiful painted up like that

Hey Brian,

For club racing I don't think our local tracks (SD/OC) would have a problem with you running the C7 etc. I think they are just restricted from the 'National' type races. As long as they are not TC bodies you should be good to go but honestly I think the new breed of USGT bodies would be superior because they are lighter.

The only problem with the bodies mentioned before is that they do not resemble a production car. I love the McAllister bodies, they look great but their C7 body looks more like a C8. For local racing I don't think anyone is ever going to call you out but be aware of the situation if you were to go to an event race. The body list idea for USGT and VTA is to keep 1 off hyper cars and unrealistic race cars from being in the class and essentially turning into TC.

While not wrong, that argument lost its foundation once (don’t get me wrong I actually like the by Hypercars) the hypercars, or Hypercar-esk bodies were allowed to be legal.

PF-10, Vitoria, PZ-1, J-Zero, Zoodiac and especially the Buwah, to name a few that are awesome, look great, handle well, but are the “esk” I am referring to.

If you’re going to bing the “production” aspect into it, has the Venom (again another cool body to see) ever actually been produced beyond prototype and photo shoot stage?

Wish someone would reproduce this one. One of my faves!

Man I love that matte finish, I'm tempted to try it on one of my cars.

I just recently finished my furai, but once again it's technically illegal due to never seeing production (the only one ever produced burnt to the ground during testing). The bwoah is a car I'm not too fond of considering it's resembled after a $3mill aston martin valkyrie hyper car. The PF10 is a McLaren, not that crazy but it is more production than most of the upper end cars. I'd like to see the USGT class really stick to the production car rule.

Our winter series finale for USGT had some Corvettes, Caddies, and a bunch of cars that I couldn't recognize because they all kinda looked the same. I will say that everyone had awesome paint jobs.

Not that anyone asked me, but here is my $0.02.
If you like a body and want to run it, ask the race director at that track!

I have to agree, the NSX, Skylines, Stangs and Vett's look awesome and hold the sprit of the class. The hyper car bodies out now, once they are painted like a TC, really can't see much of a difference. I fully support bringing this back to cars that actually look like cars. One of the reasons I loved the class to begin with, but then the body rules came and now, well it's TC again.

How cool would it be to get back to the these:
