Default Futaba 3PM and R603FF / FS Binding

Hi all, coming back after almost 10 yrs. Recently I took out my RC cars for kids. I have two 3PM 2.4 transmitters and 3 receivers (2 x r603ff and 1 x r603fs)

Problem arose when I linked one of the transmitters to a receiver which was already linked to the second transmitter.

Now if I am running two cars at the same time, as soon as one of the transmitters is turned off, the second one takes over and starts controlling both the cars..

Also noticed that once linked, it does not link back to the first transmitter when it's turned on.

I have googled and searched but only found instructions to link receivers and transmitters but not to unlink them..

There is mention of resetting model memory on the TX, however manuals are showing that transmitter ID is stored in the receiver. Is there any way to clear receiver memory?

You need to set up each car on a different mode in the radio. Can't do both on same mode. Assuming this 3PM has more than one mode and I'm thinking it does. Bind each one to a separate mode and you should be good to go. You'll have to switch modes when switching cars. Hope this clears your problem. I use the 3PK and this has never been a problem for me.

Do you mean HRS and ppm modes? There is model memory as well. I assumed this was for using the same receiver in multiple cars tho.

Is there any way to make a receiver forget a transmitter?

Thanks for the reinforcement! I do know this, however it's kids playing for the first time.

Your comment is more of a procedural fix, my query is related to a functional fix with the equipment I have, so as to avoid unwanted accidents.

I did have the second radio turned on and esc turned off on the second however the moment I turned the car on OT linked to the first radio even though the 2nd receiver and transmitter had been linked.

Yes, I was referring model memory. Set up each car on a different model memory mode. You need to bind the receiver from that car to that memory selection. Only one receiver per memory mode. eg. memory #1, car #1, receiver #1. memory #2, car #2, receiver #2. Then it's just a matter of switching from memory #1 to memory #2 without any re-binding or changes.Hope this clarifies it a little better.
