When our club first went to the spec motor, our USGT class tripled in size. All of a sudden people were no longer getting smoked down the back stretch.
Sounds great but it's not mandatory here. I am looking at a Maclan V3 or the Hobbywing, are they similar or does one have better performance than the other?

In open classes I run R1 motors and they are very fast.

I'll take a look, thanks.

do the R1's still have sensor board issues or was that the previous version?

They started putting epoxy on the sensors and that seemed to cure the issue

My Zoo Racing BWOAH! arrived yesterday so I painted it. This body sits LOW! On my XRAY T4'21 I had to remove the adjustable body stops in the rear as they are too tall on the bottom of the body post. The rear required the stock body post on the bottom hole. It also required removing any shims that push the rear body post back. Otherwise the rear body post would be under the rear wing. Even with the body post farther forward, it is just in front of the rear wing (touching it). On the front, I had to remove the body upstop as even with it lowered as far as it would go still prevented the front end from sitting at the desired height. This is because the wheels sit in a raised wheel well but the body unstop is further in located in the very low front hood area. I will test it out next weekend at Valkaria Raceway.

Looks good.

Shows how even the body companies are moving us towards Horizontal rear body posts

My BWOAH all painted up and ready for the track. Don't mind the monster wing, I'll cut it down.

Our first race of the year had 2 full heats of USGT. Happy to see USGT still going strong! www.calraceway.com
