I've been out of the hobby for a while. I recently bought an onroad car for my son. Can anyone recommend a motor esc combo for it? He also has a traxxas offroad truck so something that can handle 2s or 3s lipo. We are not into competition racing but do prefer brushless.

I remember Tekin use to be a good esc back in the day. Are they still good products or are hobbywing and trackstar better?

Tekin is still good. Just a bit more on the high end race side, costs a bit more. Has lots of features you may not use unless you’re into racing.
