Default Issues.

So from a previous post... a minor crash, broken reedy 800z casing, sensor wire wouldnt stay in. A weeks wait for a new case from ae. I soldiered the wires togther, shrikwrapped and pligged back in.

Servo... sometimes will work then not work and even when holding wheel all the way to yhe right, it doesnt move then goes to right then back to zero and back and forth from zero to right.

Esc blinks both lights 3 times, then jist the red two times. Esc and motor are brand new and im not getting any poeer to motor. I cannot power down esc witbout unplugging battery

Any ideas?

Fresh battery xharge and yes wires are in correct order.

Esc manual says both lights blinking is sensor wire, but the wire is fine, or appears fine, rather..

Bad sensor wires can cause all kinds of issues. I’ve had to replace it a few times in my F1.

New sensor wire did nothing. Same result. 3 double lights, 2 red nonresponsive. (Servo still functions. Purchased new radio with end points. Thinking servo was maxing oit and tripping? Idk if that happens but old radio didnt have endpoint setting).

Old radio equipment is very likely the issue.

You say the ESC had a replacement case after being damaged, but also say the ESC is brand new. What's the actual history of the ESC?

Sounds like there was more damage done to ESC that just the broken case. I only owned one Reedy and it didn't like taking hits!

Brand new, out of the box, two laps, minor crash, resulted in broken housing. The plastic used is total garbage and it snapped at the blind hole locations where the base sxrews down the entire unit. I used supplied servo tape and the base of the esc was still stuck to plate and the esc board and damaged upper housing were flopping around. The sensor wire wouldnt stay in since the esc itself was loose.

Got new sensor wire even bough new radio, futab 3pv... dont tell the wife . Installed everything and still no motor power. Ill be contacting reedy again tomorrow. Problem is, since im new, i dont have any other gear to swap it with to do any decent troubleshooting.

Reconfigure your ESC the go from there. If RTR servo it may have shorted out when you've crash, remove servo from ESC, see if Throttle operates after configuration.

Well, since the ESC was damaged in a crash, you can't call it brand new anymore. I suspect the ESC suffered more internal damage than just a broken housing. Beg/borrow/steal a different ESC to see if the problem goes away, if you can.

I hear what your saying, but installing it, running it for a no kidding, 45 seconds, its new... lol.

and i completly understand the inharent risk involved with these parts based on what we do with them, but business wouldnt work if these parts fail THAT easy lol.

Reedy is using great customer service and will be servicing the part, if there ia a fee.. it is what it is, i just want to drive our buggy

With all due respect, the amount of time you used it before you split the case open is irrelevant. Once it's damaged, it's no longer new. When asking these forums for support, you'll get much more relevant answers if you describe the actual condition of the equipment. When we read "brand new", we assume it hasn't been plugged in or broken in an accident. The fact it worked before the accident and doesn't work after the case split open should be pretty telling, there wasn't a need to purchase a new radio for diagnosing the issue.
