To all of you who replied, especially saying "good luck".................The OP knows that all the motors are made in Chynuh, but he is asking who are the major non Chyneese players that design and develop brushless motors but have them made in China.
I know Reedy does have their motors made their along with other big hitters, but "who" is the actual question.
This is so typical of people to just say "not made in China?" well good luck or find another hobby is absurd.

If you make it a hard requirement to ignore Chinese made or mostly sourced parts for a purchase there will be very little for our hobby you can buy.
I just bought 2 Reedy 510R ESC's and they have made in china on the box. One of the best esc's you can get, and its plenty expensive like the top end hobbywings and others. If it wasn't made in china I wonder how much more expensive it is.
Same for the motors. A standard 540 size BL motor is $50-100 depending on a few factors. If china was dropped out of building and sourcing I bet prices would go up 40-100%, not something most people want unfortunately.

OK so you 2 that just replied have made the most sense.
With this Covid issue that originated in China i am inclined to never want to buy anything made in China, but as we know it, what's left?.....Playing with an antique can of Tinker toys?
The question at the beginning of this thread can be confusing, but i see the OP's point.
He knows that all our fun stuff is made in China, but is looking for the best quality he can get that isn't some china bootleg product from the ground up.
I've got tons of stuff made in china, but the the designers, etc. are not chinese companys.
I also didn't intend to get up on my chinese made Home Depot bucket to preach.
All the made in China products are due to the World wide consumer that wants the cheapest they can get.

Tommygarage hands down. Made in Italy. Will cost you a pretty penny at that. My Cousin races with their motors in E-Buggy.

It's somewhat irrelevant where the virus started, as that's a natural process. If I'm going to blacklist a country based on this virus, it'll be one where the government responded terribly and instead of learning from the mistakes, they doubled down on them and blamed everyone else.

is that what happened in austrailia? damn. that sucks. fortunately in the USA, our president promptly enacted a travel ban (that many left leaning people denounced at the time) that no doubt saved many lives. i agree that it's irrelevant where the virus started, but in this case, the where was a communist/dictatorship that lied to the world about the virus (and continues to lie) costing many thousands of people their lives.
