Default Battery down time

Just wondering, would it be a good idea to cycle battery’s during this down time? I have always put a storage charge when done racing, but how long is that good for?

it should be good for six months or so. I have drones sitting for 10 months now. cheched them last week they were still at 3.8v. Go ahead recycle them if you want. discharge the to 3.2v wait an hour then charge them to storage charge. you'll be fine

So if you were to store a LiPo at 40% state of charge, then subtract 5% initial 24h, and reduce another 2% per month then that works out to (40%-5%) / 2% = 18 months

*** We don't have any safety circuits on our LiPo packs.
