A) check for bent chassis. B) front springs collapse over time and need to be shimmed for even droop on both sides. C) before putting a car on the tweak station always do these three things: check front droop, mount fresh cut tires, remove damper tubes.

How exactly are you trimming the AMR for 13.5? Thanks
Black Carpet woes....but man is this stuff amazing!
Interesting issue with chassis after returning from from a 5 plus year break of 1/12.
The car is picking up way to much rear grip at end of the run.
Car is amazing for first 6 minutes and then rear get locked in and develops understeer killing the run. My fastest lap are usually 3-5. I am having a large drop off in lap time around .5-.6 My std deviation is really good at 98% or better percent. Just slow as run goes on. It not a driving issue it a chassis issue
Fast 10.020
Average
10.509
avg top 5 10.175--------Avg top 10 10.269------Avg Top 15 10.327
Std Deviation .2
Consitency 98%
Back in days of grey carpet I had opposite problem as took a while for car to come in and my fastest laps were in middle of run.
Is this a trend with black carpet?
I checked all normal stuff
Battery good good ir
Motor and speedo temps are cool as it 10.5 can am and barely get warm
Tried prep tires a bunch of different way and really just changes how the car behaves up front not at end of race.
Spec purple stripe tires so tire change is not an option.
Tried a variety of handling changes and all just make car hike wheel more at start of run and still end of with car that is locked in at end of run.
I need to "free" up the car with out adding front bite that induces hiking.
What are some general things to try to "free up" car.
Back in days I would just change tire compound but with spec tires not an option. Bit lost.

Jamie... Your running great
Also, motor isn't an issue... He is racing at 360v2 with Can-Am super stock
Things I'd try-
Raising the rear roll center
Lengthening the rear axle distance from pivot (I know you got a ton of odd parts...)
Wider rear axle
Wider front end (and then making the FE more aggressive)

I've run the R8 for many years but noticed in the past year or so that the lexan has become very brittle. The thickness hasn't been an issue, it's how brittle the material has been lately. The bodies aren't just cracking from flex, they are breaking. Hate to say this but I'm going to try the Strakka and/or AMR because of this.

i'm steadily going through old tires that i had sitting up since 17.5 was switched to spec and i just wanted to give a personal on how tires performed in mod 12th...
magenta rear/black fronts - phenomenally consistent
yellow rear/black fronts - ok (after about 2 minutes the rears start to give out no matter how long i let the sauce sit)
i dont remember what other old tires i have to get rid of but i'll update JUST IN CASE anyone is curious
