Thought I'd post a few pics of the new LC12B1 buggy taken from a couple of various Facebook groups and friends. These two examples came from Taiwan. Nice to finally the finished product falling into customers hands after a near 6 month wait from when the first teaser images were dropped. Not so sure about the body, which was the primary hold up on getting the finished product shipped out. I might warm up to it more, but I still prefer the Hammer LWB lid.

So I'm having a strange issue. I was out running my truggy hadn't even been running it for 5 minutes then all of the sudden it was acting like it had the drag brake set all the way up, then it just completely stopped and sounded like something was bound up in the drive train. I checked the temp of the motor and it was at 162*! I checked the drive train over no binding everything smooth as butter, double checked gear mesh and that is good. I've never had a motor get that hot that fast before especially when it was only like 30* outside. I am running the stock spur and a 17t pinion. Not really sure where to go from here.

I am curious on the new buggy tires how they feel on carpet. The stock ones flexed too much, maybe these could be good o nthem.

You could've had a rock stuck somewhere in the drive train. I've had a rock wedge in between the spur gear and the gear cover.

Nope, I tore this thing apart and nothing is binding or anything. I had just replaced all of the bearings with Fast Eddys so no blow out bearings diffs spin nice and free ect.

Sounds like a possible motor issue if the drivetrain is nice and free. do you have another motor to try?

So my 603 wheels finally came in the mail from China! So far I'm pleased with them as they are actually +6mm offset and not -6mm offset like the last set of wheels I got from China. They also look to have a sturdier design compared to the last set of wheels I had that broke.

I took some comparison photos. 603 on the left and Chinese 26mm dish wheel on right. The one on the right was listed as having +6mm offset:

Back side of the 603 wheel. I really like the supports molded into the back of the spokes. Even though these wheels appear to be the same brittle material as the last set of wheels I broke, the design looks much beefier.


I took these outside for a few minutes to see if I could break them. I did a few full speed runs into the curb to try to get them to break and aside from some curb rash, the wheels don't look any worse for it. I also like how easily these come off of the hex. The other dish wheels grab the hex whenever I take them off and I end up taking a screwdriver to pry the hex out from the wheel. These don't have that problem.

So far the only negative thing I have to say about these wheels is nobody stocks them in the US.

Yeah that's my next plan, I just don't know when I'll be able to test it. Might have to ask the rc car club guys when they have their open track night and take it down there then.

I know several member own both the Losi and LC Racing mini rigs, would you happen to know if the LC Racing spur gears will work with the Losi Mini rigs? I am unable to source the Losi spurs where I live but I can source the LC Racing spur gears.

From what I recall in the thread, folks were using the hot racing spurs as a replacement option which are just losi spurs. May want to confirm that, but considering the slipper pads from the losi work, I wouldn't be surprised the LC racing one works.

Yes, they are interchangeable. The only thing to watch out for is that the pitch will effect the overall diameter, but since the LC's are .5mod, you shouldn't have any clearance issues. Hot Racing steel spurs are another option if you can source those. If you decide to go that route, I'd go for 48p and drop it down to a 56t and make sure to use a hard steel pinion of the same pitch.

I have a couple of spares, even have a few escs.

Looking for aluminum servo horn options that preserve the stock geometry. I have a Hangar 9 1/2 offset horn and its close, but still not quite right even with a washer installed in the horn. The drag link is still canted to one side and it causes a mild centering issue. Any ideas here? I'm using a KO Propo RSX12 servo.
