Integy Dual Motors
#1
I'm looking to swap to brushed again for my crawler and dual motors seems to be a crazy discussion of the pros on cons (I'll get my popcorn ready after this comment). Any thoughts on this integy dual motors kit? I know half the world hates integy so please don't start that up, I think theyre fine and I've never had a problem with a single thing from them. I've had more issues with Pro-Line then integy. Anyway anyone tried this before?

Are you competeing with the crawler?
Yes = stay away
No = its fine
Is it a 2.2 Pro rig?
Yes = stay away from it
No = its fine
Is it a Scaler?
Yes = Competition its illegal - backyard contraption bashing with friends its fine
No = its fine
More info on the truck its going in and what your intentions are for competition vs backyard buddies would help.

So I'm not competing, unless you count running on trail versus a 2wd slash a competition
Not a 2.2 pro rig.
Not a scaler at all.
It's a Stampede 4x4 thats upgraded like crazy, but just want more torque and better low end smoothness. Just going through trails and up relatively steep rocks.

Holmes Hobbies has budget minded crawler motors and if you have the coin to drop on some monsters then go with Brood Crawler Motors.
The integy motors are just painted silver can 540's - get them wet or run too much through them and they wear out fast.
If one is bad you will drain the battery faster and not know which one is dead.
You wont gain any smoothness on the low end with a dual motor setup if you could even squeeze it in a Stampede.
Gonna be better going with crawler specific motors by companies that have been doing it for years.
Other then that ....... sure, that setup will work fine but you'll never be truly satisified with it.
