Default Protek Reliabilty

Can any users of these servos (or the 150 series) comment on reliability? I thought some of the early versions had issues with shakes. I am considering Protek for my T6.1 build. The specs and price of these servos make them very attractive.

2 160t on my b64d and t6.1 no problem at all. I would buy savox 1258tg all most same spec if you stay 6v, also cheaper and t6.1 has lots of space no need for low profile servo same weight.

Can't go wrong with either in a 6.1

I prefer the T so my 2wd and 4wd use the same servo.

yes b64d has limited space better to have low profile servo.

There's more than enough space for a full size servo in the B64D. Only reason to get a shorty is to save weight.

both the 160ss and 160t are low profile servos. But does the b64d need more servo with more torque because its 4wd? i like the 160ss because its faster.

1258tg is 52.4g and 160t is 54.5g which is heavier

you need torque around 150 at least for 1/10 4wd buggy with 160ss you can use HV 7.4v if your esc has option to run HV.

That's a really expensive way to save maybe 10 grams.

Those servos are obviously not comparable — 160T has 50% more torque, does 7.4V and has an aluminum case whereas the 1258tg is weaker/6.0V/plastic case.
