USGT is not a ROAR class.

Wing: Any "SCALE" molded wings can be used. Lexan wings 10mm maximum height / side dam height

Someone please explain in more detail. Trying to get back into this class and last remembered the term having to cut it out on molded lines. So, if not lexan wing it can be any size? 10mm is not much for some bodies that need a lil more rear downforce. Pics help also. Using a PFM-10

Well if you are using a lexan wing you have to cut it on the 10mm trim line. Molded wings such as the HPI or other wings since the HPI wings are hard to find I bought a molded wing from a Shapeways 3D printed molded wing I haven't tried it yet but it is a option.

not to mention:
21.5 motors from every company, to make sure you have the fastest of course, so at 90.00 a pop you'll need an LRP, Novak, Tekin, Speed Passion, so for lack of rounding, we'll just 400.00, now your almost at 1400.00

Get all those motors and you're still a lap slower than my one motor. Sell all those and buy the right one.

3D printed is by definition not molded.

Mod TC
17.5 TC
21.5 USGT
25.5 VTA
SEMI TRUCK STOCK MOTOR
17.5 WGTR
Mod 12th scale
17.5 and 13.5 12th scale
Pro10
These are the basics in electrical classes. I may have forgotten one.
in past year for TC, a couple of major US races have added 21.5 TC labeling it as stock TC, 17.5 TC as Super Stock. some local tracks are following this trend. seems to be a trend to make 21,5 the new stock (TC wise only)

WGT-R see it also ran as 21.5 and 25.5, very rare for them to go 17.5 as even 21.5 pushes the envelope. only time i have seen 17.5 is when they run WGT foam

F-1 went thru a cycle....17.5....21.5....now predom 25.5

Not really slowing them down, just trying to maintain similar pace. The 17.5's, 21.5s and 25.5s today are much quicker than a year or two ago. 17.5's nowadays can easily outpace mods from a few years ago. 17.5 stock TC sedans are stupid fast in comparison from when I started on road 4 years ago.

If I raced on a track as big as yours I would make 13.5 blinky stock/Usgt and 8.5 blinky super stock and then mod.

I feel that all tracks should set up their classes by their track size and what their local racers are asking for. I think days of one motor wind for stock/super stock are dwindling down. Time will tell.

things are slowing down in other parts of the world, you have to read further or do specific searches for 17.5 racing around the world that does not make news here

-Australia doing the 17.5
-EU / EFRA running a limit now on 12th MOD.....6.5 blinky
-Schumacher ran a race series BTCC (i think was name) last year but i did catch reading further into the race report " their most contested class was 17.5".
- in a unrelated thread in same period a obvious UK driver claimed he did not know the US fascination with 17.5 that they don't run them is his part of the world.
-Japan ran one of their major 12th races last year, they ran 17.5 boosted. attended by their top drivers

in US 10.5 as superstock and 13.5 stock from day one was too fast compared to the brushed motors they were supposed to be equal to. Oval pan racers is who we can credit the 17.5...yeah it would have eventually came, but they asked Novak right away for 17.5's in 2006 adopted it as stock like 4-5 years before onroad and offroad. 13.5 was rather insanely fast compared to 27T brushed and near the speed of a 19T brushed for novice/beginners.

there are some racers that have original 13.5 and 10.5 novak systems and have commented in testing that the latest updates on 17.5 last summer/fall ROAR approved are now near on par with a 2006 10.5 motor.

VTA is overall flourishing, with 21.5 coming to TC i think it will put pressure on USGT. a flip of a krugerand......cooler body spec tires vs the norm but better traction
