I used to love this class back in the day, a few weeks ago I decided to buy the new Xray XT2 and didn’t care about the turnout. Over the course of the past few weeks we are up to two heats of Open Stadium Truck. We run them on black carpet off-road and the clay compound slicks have been the tires to have. If you guys are interested I can say without bias and total honesty you should check out the XT2. Comes with the turf/carpet and dirt goodies in the box.

This is a Jconcepts endorsed race or are they sponsoring it? I see nothing on JC events page.

I think this is the right attitude. If you want to run a class and are interested.....the interest has to start somewhere. Well done

Shh, he probably has info that is not released now. It may not be official, and they may just be considering it. Don't tell anyone, he may come after me. Our track is on the Jconcept series they do every year.

I bet if they simply started calling them 1/10 truggies there would be a new interest in the class.

Anyone hear any rumors on another manufacturers getting a stadium truck out there? Would love to see a yokomo version (not a conversion).

They started to call them that in Germany one or two years ago, and it did not help. The only thing that helps to start or renew a trend is usually the release of several new vehicles. I bought an XT2 early last year and did not like it, got a 22T 4.0 for Christmas and after a few laps I am happy with it. If only Associated came out with the T6 to improve turnouts...
Hopefully Ryan Maifield can convince Yokomo that he needs a stadium truck. His double worlds title seems to have incited many people to switch to my favorite brand, and they might be more than happy to add another vehicle to their fleet.
For my region, I am positive that turnouts will turn out pretty decent this year. We will have the German nationals nearby and that usually helps quite a bit. As Jörn Neumann recently made the switch to Schumacher, I am intrigued whether he will drive his old Durango truck or Schumacher/CS Electronic will produce a conversion kit as they did before. A full kit would be a great surprise!

Whatever brand it may be, just need to get them out there. I was out of it for a long time and they were strong so I cannot understand why they faded.

Worth shooting them a message about it ... would be cool for sure to see that class come up again like the old days.

Only few guys running ST and SCT in novice class at my local club.

This rocks! Hope they decided to do it at our track, all the time.

Wrong forum, but dropping that 17.5 ShortCourse, for just 13.5 ShortCourse is also exciting.

Maybe if they still looked like racing trucks.

Not this cab forward BS they are now.

I think the answer lies back to the future.

Or

"They" have been trying to get SCTs to stick for along time. Traxxas just had the best timing is all. It may just be it for the long arm truck. Even if there was a SCT body for the long arm short wheelbase ST trucks we love, it would just not be the same. Because, now it would be no different than SCT racing.

But, what do I know. I have to go 150+ miles to find an indoor track that club races weekly. And from what I can tell, everyone else pulls up the dirt in winter around here.

And I'm sorry but I'm not racing my off road trucks on carpet. Because I'm not a pansy...

Sorry for the pointless post. Mod, you can delete this if you want.
