so I got the spec 2 tessman and have put about 8 tanks through it and noticed that the writing on the head, specifically where is says "ty tessman"& "B21" is peeling off like it's a sticker.i thought it was laser engraving.anyone else ever had this happen before and know of a fix.i emailed os about it but I doubt they'll send me a new cooling head but we'll see.ive just never seen this happen to any engine I've had, from cheapo LRP to novarossi or any of the speeds I own.

I can't say much about the Tessman Spec 11 but I run the OS spec 11 (gold head) in my truck and it is awesome. I much prefer the spec 11 over the spec 111. However in my Buggy I'm running the low profile B2102 for club meets and the Tessman B2101 Low profile for bigger meets and interstate meets. Safe to say I love the 2102 and 2101 over the Spec11 in my buggy. I'll definitely keep my spec11 as truck motors

ok, it's been a little over a year since I got this motor and so far 6 gallons and running like new.

I raced in many different tracks from san diego up to Madera and arizona and I am as happy as the first day.

Between my OS for the MUGEN MBX7RT and my DRAKE for the MBX7R I am set.

DRAKE motor still running strong at about the 6 gallon mark.

Hmm, can anyone let me know what engine mount I would need to get this installed on a Revo? I'll take out my OS TM, slap that in my Tmaxx and then put this in my Revo, but not sure what mount would be needed to achieve that. Any help? Thank you very much.

Here is the engine mount you will need

https://www.hobbytown.com/big-block-engine-mount-revo-by-traxxas-tra5420/p19113?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIlLuqvbGq2AIVj15-Ch3zqQYqEAQYBSABEgI2ifD_BwE

You could also go with the big block conversion.

I am not sure what pipe you are running, but this one from THS worked great.

Good luck. That will make for a fast Revo!!

Thank you very very much, traxxas tuned pipe on her now, going to look more into that pipe, looks very nice. Yeah, my Revo is race oriented I guess you can say. Already have the reverse trans removed, added center diff, so think I should be good to just bolt up that mount and install the engine. Thank you again, you were a hugeee help.

Hey, the same mount should work with the O.S Speed B2101? Does that mount right up?

Yes. Should work with the B2101 as well. I also believe I had to shave down either the mount on the engine or the chassis a little. It hit the funky curve in the Revo chassis slightly.

Other than that small mod, it is a perfect drop in. The big block kit makes it easy.

The THS pipe is totally worth it. Great poweband.

Thanks so much, yeah drying to decide between the THS or an ERCM tuned pipe, which I can swap between many engines I hear. May be worth going for, not sure. Hear they are very loud though.
