Default Extended Charging Wires?

Hello,

I would really like to get some more distance between my charger and my battery, especially it being in a charging bag. Before I go about getting my first Lipos, I want to see if there are any extended charging wire kits available? Or is this more of a custom piece I will need to solder up myself?

Thank you.

The TQ looks to be the winner for me. I have used their loose wire and sensor wires before. Nice looking unit as well.

I have a couple of the TQ leads and they are great quality bits I've learned my lesson though and now I get the longest one available so I can keep the battery in the car and still move it around/work on it while it charges. It's not the safest way to do it, but it's a convenient way to do it lol.

steel braided wiring isn't particularly cheap, but I am so I've been using recycled 14AWG speaker wire for years with lengths cut up to 18" for my 4 port charger

We actually have a local kid and his dad that make extended charge leads for a really good price for the quality, everything gets soldered by the same folks that do it for Tesla (or BMW, can't remember which he said lol). They have both 4mm and 5mm ends on each charge lead. I bought the 28 inch cable at the local hobby shop for around $24.

An off-topic relatable question....

I am curious about a Hobbywing ESC that I have received. I believe it is a discontinued JUSTOCK SPEC Race ESC with 13.5 turn motor. Specs call for 45A/260A Burst. I plan to run this in my rebuilt 1/10 stadium truck. I had planned on using a NiMh battery, however the future SMC Lipo batteries I would like to get for other kits are 2s 5200mAh 50c and 4400mAh 80c LiPo batteries.

I am such a new guy to the Lipo world, just want to have my basis covered. Would this ESC be able to handle both of these batteries?

Where would I be able to find a serial number to be sure which model this is?

Hobbywing responded with their input, and does not make much sense to me:

Dear Sir,

Larger C count of battery will afford power system's need better,so if the voltage under limit, larger is better.

You can check and change profiles by LCD program card, but this ESC only have one.

And here is a manual in attachment, you can have a view.

Best Regards!

All of their Justock ESC's will support those batteries so no worries there. It has a 2s (2 cell) lipo limit which means any 2s lipo that fits in your truck will work with that ESC

I don't know where you'd find a serial number though.

Check-It racing charger cables are $20 each for the 2foot model. They are available with deans, traxxas, xt60, xt90, ec3, ec5, 4mm, or 5mm bullet connectors and built for either 1 or 2 cell lipos. For more information please pm me or visit our Facebook page.

There are plenty of different brands but at $20+ each you are better off just buying wire and making it yourself in your desired lentgh...

I consider myself pretty good at soldering and cable making, but I don't see $25 as a bad purchase to avoid having to make it myself. Especially when I know the solder work is as good as it can be. That's going to be roughly an hour of work (time is money) + material. For me, that exceeds $25 lol.
