Technical Question: Is it normal for the spur gear to have side to side play/movement on the drive axle? I know the diff nut isn't supposed to be tight as you can get it, however I tightened the diff nut until snug and the spur gear still has side to side movement in-between the two diff plates. Thanks

So I spoke to UPS and they told me there was mechanical issues during my next day shipment while in route to ship, they told me to contact amain because they can't help me. Cudos to amain as they refunded my entire next day shipping charges and hazmat for the lipo and I didn't even have to ask for the refund. This is why I purchase parts, kits and other goods through amain and have for several years. Great customer service!!
By the way I started the build last night and this kit is amazing quality. Can't wait to get this on the track.

So I got the 2018 X12 on the track yesterday for it's shake down, also was my first time running pan car. I must say, not familiar with pan car and I'm completely out to lunch regarding set ups and the tricks regarding pan car (kit setup). I had so much fun and did fairly well. Qualified 2nd and finished 3 seconds back of 1st place on an 8 minute run. Car was amazing and looking forward to playing with setups. Had so much fun I'm considering running 12th stock at the Indoor Champs this year.

It did pretty well. Craig Xavier qualified 2nd and finished 2nd in 17.5. EA qualified 7th and finished 4th in 13.5. Alex qualified 3rd and finished 5th in Mod.

That's great! Champs is a great race to learn A LOT about 1/12 for sure.

I'm building a new 2018 US version. It's missing the aluminum pivot ball (main ball for the pod), number 373066!
I have a 2016 X12. Is it the same part? Could I steal it from my old car for now?
I have emailed this to XRAY but want the car built by Friday.
Edit: the pivot ball from my 2016 seems to fit fine. I'll replace with new when I can get one.

I'm looking for the EU Version, but I do not see it at Amain or any other place. Are we going to see the EU Version is the US? 90% of the time I race on gray carpet, and I also do not want to replace my chassis when I crack the wall, plus I might try the Asphalt next spring.

if you get a US version, and convert to EU, chassis alone make the car rather costly even in US, 2018 carbon plate is only available in EU at around $94 avg along with shipping, not sure about VAT fees.
in AZ we have 3 asphalt tracks, and a couple of Xray sponsored drivers, one uses 2017 right now (think on list for new car), other uses 2018 US version (higher level sponsored). the aluminum car does really well, set TQs etc....but then again the driver is seriously good
