Would be very few parts to convert a US to a EU as well - and relatively cheap parts as well. And if you're like many and already have extra front end plastics as you've upgraded to graphite ones, even less to buy!

i will more than likely never race the black CRC high traction carpet, currently running on fresh new asphalt. sure most major US venues are the black. many tracks in the US are still staying grey or opting for grey (cost difference). i own 4 xray offroad cars. generally are very expensive to convert for surfaces.

i would not want to buy the assumed US runs black and have to spend another $167.21 to down convert it. not just a frontend swap

add on: just found a killer deal... xray 2017 x12 on ebay NIB $174.99, so will now have 5 xrays

I got my 17 very, very cheap also.

Only a couple of pieces to convert to EU 18 - and reality is the front bumper arrangement is a nice to have. I can't see it affecting performance. The 17 chassis is same other than the front 20mm or so.

But if you did get a US 18 - I wouldn't change the chassis. The Alloy works well on all carpet. Just change the front arms and inserts. Relatively cheap.

not a fan of alloy on asphalt, that was done 30+ years back and tried as painfully long as possible by Corally, even they finally went carbon

There is no plan to bring the EU version in at this time. If there is enough demand RCAmerica will look into it, but so far it is minimal.

For most on carpet, we run the battery transverse (cross chassis).

Not sure what folks are doing on asphalt.

Thanks R Dodge. Just finished building my 18 this week. I'm new to 1/12 scale, trying to get my head wrapped around the tuning options.

Most in Aust run cross on asphalt.

But we also typically have relatively low grip asphalt.

For higher grip asphalt tracks with sweepers maybe inline would be better.
