Maybe it's just me, haven't we already had this discussion twenty or thirty (million)..........times already
Your opinion and position on not liking or wanting the once legal Daytona Prototypes included on the approved body list is well documented.
A simple "Hey guys.....awesome race"... and link to the news would have been great as well as appreciated. There's no need to throw jabs (at others, and we know who you intended them for), at this point on a topic that already has rules in place, agreeing with your position. You guys do great work and we appreciate it, just not the personal jabs that seemingly has to be included in some of your posts. We get it.....

Sorry for being an annoyance to you. Not my intention.
I've never even once brought to topic up. Forgive me for being slightly annoyed that Gary continues to bring up the topic over and over.

I don't mean to be argumentative. The subject is done as far as I'm concerned. But I was just accused of bringing up a subject that is not correct. Howardcano and Freebird brought up the Daytona Prototypes, I just added my opinion in response. I think that is the concept of a forum.
By the way, for those old enough to remember, the term GT and Prototype are not necessarily exclusive of each other. One of the most famous and maybe the best class ever in road racing in the 80s was GTP (GT Prototype).

Not taking sides but:
-Mclaren F1 GTR
-Porsche 911 GT1 - re-release pretty pretty please?
-Mercedes CLK GTR
-Saleen S7-R (bedroom poster)
-Ford GTe
-Mosler MT900
-Maserati MC12 GT...
Those were on the limit of being accepted in GT/GT3 (the first three I mentioned because of the shape), I particularly remember the uproar about the MC12.

Dale - I clearly understand the intention was not to annoy me. Look, you and the PF Team continue to bring fantastic products to this hobby that we love. I feel the exact same way about Gary. Each of you have listened ever so kindly to us as group and have produced the countless things we've wanted to see. It is because of this that I will always hold both PF and McAllister to a higher standard (as I would any other mfr) when it comes to certain things such as conduct in public. Hell, we racers as a group can't seem to agree or to stop complaining about anything. As a working professional in my "real job", I always hold other professionals to a higher standard, hence my displeasure for unnecessary jabs.
We need you guys to be the examples for us to follow, not joining in with us down here in the muddy pits of arguments.
You guys ROCK and we're very appreciative. I will say, if I was the one that had multiple bodies on the approved list, then later removed, which ultimately impacted my bottom line, let's just say I wouldn't have been nearly as restrained as Gary has been.
And Dale, thank you for acknowledging and listening.
On a personal note from me, my sincerest appreciation for you guys coming to the dire rescue of the VTA tire situation. The class may have well fallen apart without it!!

Any one want to buy my DPT bodies. Those that got to legally run them say they were awesome.

I did because of the wannabe GT 'that looks so much like a prototype to me" car. burns my butt. Since Ive got 3 brand new unpainted Corvette DP cars that I can't run because 2 weeks after I purchased wording came out and said I can't run those legally. I get it. but for the money invested it still burns my azz. sure I've wasted money many times on other stupid stuff; but that was my choice.
And, just to spread the love equally, my brand new, unpainted McAllister Corvette DP sits in my pile of unused bodies, right on top of my Protoform Mulsanne.

Easy solution...
Make LED front headlights mandatory
Run both classes together like a real race.
White LED for Prototype bodies and Yellow for GT cars
The smaller of the two classes gets hand counted

Ive always been in favor of this type of racing and on a big enough track there could be 12 cars! Then again I would have loved to run my F103GT Courage in some sort of 24 Hour race but yeah, that never even came close to happening. I would even mandate a tire change but not happening either.

Hi guys;
IMSA staged a great WeatherTech GT race on the weekend an Lime Rock. I don't know if any of you caught it on TV. Awesome racing! The radical mid-engine Porsche bagged it's first win.
As with all their GT-only events, there were no Prototypes or Daytona Prototypes or Dpi (prototypes) eligable. It's a no-brainer: because they are not GT cars.

Run pan cars as the Prototype , Tc as the GT run them on the same track. It would have to be a big track like Leisure Hours In Illinois though
