So does this mean that a majority of the motors that we are currently running will not be legal now? Or did they take the ones that are currently approved and make the numbers based upon those?

That thing is a bullet and it's speed is so much faster than the other motors, I find a hard time not thinking it will be axed and replaced with a new version.
Honestly, that motor is one of the main reasons we are having this conversation.

Hi guys;
IMSA staged a great WeatherTech GT race on the weekend an Lime Rock. I don't know if any of you caught it on TV. Awesome racing! The radical mid-engine Porsche bagged it's first win.
As with all their GT-only events, there were no Prototypes or Daytona Prototypes or Dpi (prototypes) eligable. It's a no-brainer: because they are not GT cars.

I'd guess that most tracks and events will use their meter as the standard. That's what is done now when measuring battery voltage. I may have a 5 1/2 digit HP that I use at home, but if the track's DVM doesn't read the same, I still need to comply with whatever that meter says.

Not sure, but my guess is, there is no way that TS 21.5 will stay legal.

Your opinion and position on not liking or wanting the once legal Daytona Prototypes included on the approved body list is well documented.A simple "Hey guys.....awesome race"... and link to the news would have been great as well as appreciated. There's no need to throw jabs (at others, and we know who you intended them for), at this point on a topic that already has rules in place, agreeing with your position. You guys do great work and we appreciate it, just not the personal jabs that seemingly has to be included in some of your posts. We get it.....
