Does the MT410 kit come with the parts necessary for the mechanical brake setup? (Minus a servo of course)

Thanks for the information. I'm having a heck of a time finding a brake kit for this thing. It's my first Tekno vehicle.

Ah I see what I need is part number TKR5206X. Which is discontinued and out of stock everywhere. Uhg

Just curious. Why do you want mechanical brakes on an electric basher truck? Seems like a that would just add weight and complication. I would think keep this kind of truck light and simple.

I'm just the tinkering type. I'd like to try it out, that's all.

Here's an idea to tinker with. Cut a foot off of a baby doll toy. Then rig up a servo that will extend that foot downward through a hole in the chassis. Fred Flintstone style mechanical brakes!

...and make a flintstone body out of sticks and animal hide to finish it off.

I think I would end up spending more if I get the MT 410 and buy the truggy chassis....
You may want to check Dollar Hobbyz, the ET chassis has been ~$56(maybe out of stock).

Anyone on here achieving standing back flips with a 2200kv motor on 4s? I just finished up my kit and went with a castle 1515 2200kv motor and mamba x esc. I've tried 15t and 17t pinions. Truck is wicked fast, and handles amazing for a monster truck, and does whatever you want it to in the air, not to mention the kit was a lot of fun to build. Right now I'm running the proline badlands 3.8's. I think that is part of the problem as the tires are relatively small and don't have the mass to flip the truck over from a standstill.

Yeah...you're not going to achieve standing backflips with 3.8 badlands. The MX38 Badlands are the best for backflips. Maybe with 6s you cold pull off backflips with the 3.8's
bootbox likes this.

That's what i was thinking.... I ordered shockwaves, but haven't gotten them yet. I also have some big joes and super swampers, but I figured they might be too big. I'll give the super swampers a try tomorrow.

Another quick question. How do you measure/set the droop screws? It gives shock length measurement for droop in the manual but this is my first kit with droop screws. Thanks.

Yup, MX38's & 6s gets you all kinds of flips, the motor gets warm after 15-20 min run though. I set my droop screws where it keeps the shafts from binding, but allows the most droop.

It would require quite a bit of parts and may not be worth it. Driveshafts, arms, shock towers, bumpers, body posts, etc.

I actually have a crawler that has a Holmes hobby sensored setup and I just packed the sensor ports with dielectric grease and plugged in the wire. That should keep any water from getting in so I should be able to do that on the castle sensored motor right?

Also what servo specs will i need for this truck? Something around 275-300oz? What voltage can the mmx bec go up to?
The higher the better with big tires, there's plenty out there that offer 400-500 oz. The MMX BEC can ran at 8.0v.

Take a look at the dBoots Backflip tires as well, that come on the Arrma Outcast. They're just like the Proline Badlands but taller. They're a nice fit in between the Badlands and the massive MX38's.

I have my droop screws all the way in the arm.

I put the Pro-line Super Swampers on today and the truck is a completely different animal. Standing backflips on grass and pavement with ease. I also backed the the droop screws out a bit.

On another note, I just wanted to reiterate how great of a kit this was to assemble. It couldn't be easier. Every step is in a separate bag so your not shuffling thru a bunch of bags or parts trees. Fit and finish was excellent as well. Worth every penny.
