Tekno MT410

Does the mamba monster X fit ok in the mt410? And the castle 2200kv? I ran tekin electronics in my eb48.3 and et48 but I want to have something waterproof in the mt410. Also is the mmx waterproof? I know it can be run sensored and I usually associate sensored with not being waterproof. Maybe I should just get the mm2?

Oh and I fell down the LiPo paranoia rabbit hole last night too. After a bad LiPo bag review on Amazon talked about how the bag did nothing to stop a pack burning up, I watched a ton of YouTube LiPo fire videos and wound up ordering a Bat-Safe that I plan to keep in a giant empty rolling toolbox.
I'm still really excited to get this running and I know brushless with telemetry etc is going to be super fun, but I gotta say, it's all way more complicated than it was in the 90s

If people are squeezing the Hobbywing XR8 SCT esc in there, I am sure you can fit the MMX lol. As for the waterproofing, to the best of my knowledge, when you run in sensorless mode without the sensor wire, it is fully waterproof, but if you run with the sensor wire connected, it is basically water resistant.

I'm not familiar with the mmx so it just concerned me about the waterproof thing. There has to be a plug in location that goes to the sensor board if u want to run the sensor wire so that is a spot that water can get in (whether u are using the sensor wire or not). But I could be wrong. Maybe the mmx is different than the other esc's I've used that are sensored. I guess I will have to research that a bit more. Or just go with the mm2 and be on the safe side. Anybody know if there is a difference between the mm2 and mmx (other than the sensored option) that makes the mmx a better esc?
That said, don't waste your money on an MM2. The MMX can do everything and can do it better. If you're fine running sensorless then just get the MMX combo and avoid plugging in the sensor wire

Ok. Thanks. What about comparison between the hw xr8 and the mmx? Which would be better. Never heard much about it. I was mainly into racing and I did use an xerun before which wasn't bad but I've been mainly tekin for awhile now
What voltage can the mmx bec go up to?
Which proline raptor body part no. fits the mt410? I want the 2017 raptor which is the pro3468-00 which says fits revo 3.3 summit and tmaxx. That should work right? But the one that says it fits the mt410 is pro3345-00 but that's not the 2017 version

Hi all, I am keen on getting MT410 I read from earlier posts that it shares the same parts with other ET48 and other class.
Just wondering if I can use the ET48 chassis so I can have a longer wheelbase. Is this possible? If so, what other parts should I get to make it work (i.e. longer center dogbones)
Thanks in advance. This would be my first Tekno Truck if I get this

I run mine with the truggy chassis 'cause I mainly drive on the local 8th scale dirt track where I don't want back flips. It floats over bumps and jumps and it's fun to watch other cars get out of the way when they hear this monster coming (I use a steel spur gear - sounds like a jet engine when I stomp the throttle).
But just know that it's hard to find a monster truck body that fits the truggy chassis. The Tekno web page lists them, but the HPI bodies are almost never in stock anywhere. The Associated Rival body works well when you can find one in stock. I think Amain may still have 'em.

Have another question about the castle mmx. If I'm running sensored and I decide to take it to the creek one day I know u guys said the esc had a cover for the sensor port on the esc to make it waterproof but what about the motor? I actually have a crawler that has a Holmes hobby sensored setup and I just packed the sensor ports with dielectric grease and plugged in the wire. That should keep any water from getting in so I should be able to do that on the castle sensored motor right?
Also what servo specs will i need for this truck? Something around 275-300oz? What voltage can the mmx bec go up to?

I think I would end up spending more if I get the MT 410 and buy the truggy chassis....
