Default Intellect Lipo

Anyone run the intellect house brand? Believe these are identical to protek. Appears this us sales may be last years version and the newer sv2 (not sold here) could be the newer version. Much less expensive. Anyone have details?

My experience with the IP branded packs has been very good - they are the OEM behind many other brands. The stuff they sell direct does usually tend to appear to be a generation behind so perhaps it's overstock stuff on of those other brands didn't take and sometimes their stock levels make it seem as if SMC is good at keeping stuff on hand but you can buy those with confidence that you're getting good packs.

Yep another satisfied user here. Very good batteries. I've got IP packs which are 3 years old that are still punchy and zero swelling even in heavy modified touring car application.

Yeah, I´m running the new 7,6V LiHV version of the intellect house brand and I´m very pleased. Low IR values and about 20grams less weight compared to the previous SHV version.

I think these are last years protek. Same mfg and gets a little puffy but worth the $50. Performs well

I know this is an old thread. I was searching for info on this brand of batteries. I gave them a shot. Just ordered 2ea. 120C 7.6V 3600mAh packs for my 2wd and 4wd stock buggies. Well see how they work.

I'm wondering this as well. The Protek 4s 5600mah looks the same, meassures the same and is the weight as the 4s 5200mah intellect.

These actually look awesome. I am going to make this my next set of batteries..
I am not a fan of bullet connectors, however in this case I will make an exception. Great price!!

I run the 2s LIHV 6000mah. its the newest chemistry roar approved. Ive been using them for most of the year. Maybe 100 half cycles on each but i charge/discharge at 30 amps and store them after each use. They started at about 1.2M and they are at 1.5 on the first charge and 1.2 on every charge thereafter for that day. 0 puffing and they still have about 5800mah when charged to LIHV levels. Very good battery. I have like 5 different brand new batteries that i bought at the same time that i havent touched once since i got these.

battery manufacturers just like motors get better minute by minute, I need roar batteries so its pretty easy to weed through who is releasing what and when if you look at the approvals list. i dont have proof to convince everyone this is a great way to look for good batteries but the IP batteries havent given me a single problem. i can only say that about the ones I have and they are the newest battery they have approved. I have some turnigy graphenes that wont puff but dont have resistance as good as the IPs but everything else has puffed at 30 amps. Granted I dont buy the super high price batteries.

You could make a short adapter that stays inside the battery. That's what I have done.

I saw in one of Nick’s videos where he postulated the same between a house brand and a 3rd party brand he suspected was supplied by said house brand - comparing a 5200mAh battery with a 5600 - turns out that the 5200 put out 5600mAh of Power based on the 6.0V cutoff he tests with. His conjecture is that perhaps the brand was playing it safe on their branded rating - maybe because some packs weren’t hitting the supposed 5600?

BTW, I’m considering trying some IP batteries as Nick always speaks well of them, but if anyone is in the know, can someone confirm if Sunpadow is also a house brand? I’ve seen some pretty aggressive marketing from them lately - just wondering if they are trying to drum up some direct business like IP... Assuming they actually are a manufacturer too, that is.
