Hi guys.
I noticed today that my mrt ptx transponder flashes when I move my steering from left to right.
It's as though it's loosing power and restarts everytime the servo moves.
Radio is a spectrum sr3100 and hobbywing 2.1.
Could a glitch buster sort this?
Or maybe an external bec?

this is interesting... I've heard of others talk about getting missed laps from time to time, regardless of the brand of transponder using and usually it's because they don't have their EPA properly set or there is excessive binding in their steering linkages.

Please forgive me. I recall a discussion about this quite a while ago. If my memory serves me correctly, this was a sign of a speed controller having a weak bec. Pretty sure an external bec, like the one from Castle, was recommended to provide enough amps for the servo. Hope this helps.

I've seen a fellow racer have a brown out issue with a Tekin ESC.... he sent it in and they swapped it out with a brand new ESC for a replacement fee (I think around $75) and the new ESC still had the same brownout issue... then he realized that his radio (Spektrum) had inadvertently lost their EPA settings and went back to 100% when they were supposed to be set somewhere around 90%ish... after re-setting his EPA the brownouts went away and then came back after a few race days after his EPA's mysteriously went back to 100% again... the guy sold his Spektrum radio and never had brown outs ever again.

Installed an external hobbywing bec and all sorted.
Probably a sign my bec in the esc is on its way out but this will have to do for now. Seems a pretty good solution even if it does ad a tad extra weight and messy wiring!
