Hi does anyone have any experience with the Traxxas ID batteries? I was thinking of switching over to them cause they seem easier to work with and safer too. Anyone know of their durability, life span, power, etc?

They are really basic batteries in the grand scheme of things and quite frankly I would spend my money elsewhere. The ID plugs are not worth it at all. Weak batteries, semi-soft case, expensive. Triple-threat.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from all Traxxas lipos. They puff very quickly. For half the price you can get some zippy or turnigy nano techs from hobbyking. Or SMC as mentioned. The id plugs make you either have to have the Traxxas charger or buy a adapter to have a balance plug.

I've had great luck with Traxxas lipos. I have 4 I've been running for 2 years and they are just like new. Been in anything from a tc3 to a seriously overgeared 2wd and 4wd slash for speed runs. Mine are only the 4200 2s and a 5000 3s.

You're the first person I've ever heard having good luck with Traxxas batteries. You my friend are a very lucky person.
