If you have the post supports reversed, that could happen. I think. A picture would help a lot.

Does anyone happen to know the outside diameter of a TA06 rear diff? I've got some nerding out I need to do.

EDIT: Never mind. Found a lovely side by side photo from the very forum dating to 2013! R/C Tech Forums - View Single Post - Tamiya mini cooper Different pitch, different size.

Nothing better than going to his house and working on motors or having a smoke with him at the track and discussing set ups and sometimes he would come over to my pit reach over and just grab a smoke out of my box without asking and I wouldn't say a word but just smile.

I miss the exchange of thoughts we had regarding mini setups in general and some of the enlightening statements that were posted in this thread. I really appreciated the information I learnt and then tested. Not all was ever shared here, but then that would take away the mystique of working somethings out for yourself.
I am sure he still rolls his eyes at some of the antics on here. May he rest in peace. Might be gone, but never forgotten.

Does anyone have a parts list for the TA03 Ball diff, part #53267?

I am looking for the part # for a replacement ball diff gear.

Thanks!

50704 is the closest you will get to getting that gear separately.

Why did tamiya add the boxy protrusion at the rear end of m05 chassis? My m05 is built in short wheelbase, and it's sticking out far enough to interfere with the body.

It's for the droop screws with the v2 arms. If your rules allow it (or you're not racing), feel free to cut it off with a hacksaw. It's disappointing that Tamiya didn't check if it would interfere with the Mini Cooper bodies.

Thank you for the explanation. I had to cut it off to fit the body. It would've been nice if they just replaced the front half of the chassis with V2 as well.
