There are 12 holes in the outer ring of the Kimbrough spur. Sounds like you were going to put balls in the inner and outer ring which would add up to 18 balls. I've never tried that, 12 balls in the outer ring makes a perfect diff-18 might be overkill.
I just picked up a tirer truer and was wondering what would the recommendable size be to cut down my tires(front and rear)? Just like a starting point or average? and about have far down can tires be used? For trc fronts do you need four flanged bearings or only 2? I am seriously thinking about going trc becasue my jaco rims are just carcking so badly(i guess if i didnt hit the wall so hard i wouldnt be cracking them though

For asphalt I start at 48 rear and 46 front. For carpet more like 46 rear, 44 front. What you want depends on the track and bite, and how much life you want to get from a set of tires.
TRC fronts take 2 flanged bearings per side, four in all. Try Parma tires, they work very well (straight and not yellow)

Thanks, I will try 44 and 46mm. I actually have been looking at the parmas, along with BSR's, CRC's, and the trcs, but just havent decided yet. I am actually waiting for the gq's to come out and maybe give them a try.

Also, they just used the wheels and tires to T.Q. the Snowbirds and the Nats.
kool. i like the way the front wheels are made. nice and clean look. only thing is that they're expensive. 5 bucks more than any other brand.

That's weird? The CRC tires have the lowest prices mark on the package... the retail price on the CRC tires are lower than the retail price of Parma, TRC or Jaco. Why are they so high where you are?

do u own a crc car? the crc front tires are better for crc car that uses lock nut to fasten the front wheels. the nut is flush and hidden.

crc tires cost 18.99 pair. jaco and parma cost 13.99
Purple Fronts - $22.00
From Parma's Web site
Purple Fronts - $19.99

The trc rims are nylon, not plastic so they take a lot more hits than any of the others I have tried (jaco, crc and parma). And the trc fronts have enough offset to keep the nuts from the lundsford axles from protruding. Only problem is I had to grind away a bit of the left side of the rear lower plate(12L3) . I don't like to shim out too much and foam was rubbing
