Went out to try to better my numbers on both my 6s and 8s Cars.... Ended up cracking a wheel on my 6s car at 131MPH and blowing it over and destroying the body...

So I pulled out the 8s Car, made a Pass, the car went 154MPH, but I was only getting 97.6% throttle... Re-calibrated my Radio, went for another pass, and crashed big time. Basically lost everything(motor/esc/batteries/chassis/reciever/rear everything/body), even my brand new Garmin (that I damaged on the (6s blowover).

Is anyone having luck with foams? Seems every time, I try to run them the cars get super Hairy to drive... they seem to roll very well. I have only tried BSR's #25... Maybe I have the compound wrong. I have it setup with minimal toe/ minimal camber in the rear, about .5* out on the front.

Ran my Mugen MGT7 at the Poseidon Speed Run Challenge at Camarillo Airport, CA last weekend. 146 mph with my TP Power USA brushless motor on my only 8s pass of the day. Fastest pass of the event.

Not sure, Ive never heard of it. John/ Adam have gone to events, but im more of a "if I can sneak out for a night while the kids are asleep kind of guy...

In brighter news, my son(Kent) and I got all of the parts to rebuild the 8s car. We are working on it now! motor will be here Monday! All I am waiting on is my new batteries witch hopefully buy the closing of the week will be in!

My friend udluuz ran a gyro on his 95 MPH Traxxas Xmaxx.

Is it common for the guys running 140+ to run gyros in their cars at those event though?

No. Almost no body runs one.

That is kind of good to hear. I think I am ready to remove my TSM receiver from my XO-1 and rely solely on aero and a Airtronics M11X TX and RX. Here goes nothing!

All the Hobbywing escs ive had suck. Throttle most of the time cuts out after a few seconds of full throttle. You will never get the power, speeds, or tunability and data logging of a castle esc.
