After tons of research and reading posts here, I'm leaning towards smc over sp, Due to being a little cheaper and cheaper shipping. Ive read over and over how good spc customer is. But not seen much about smc customer service. I'm ordering 4 packs and including shipping will be 18 bucks cheaper. So how good is smc customer service

I've dealt with Danny at SMC and Tom at SPC many times. Can't go wrong with either. I buy all my packs from SPC nowadays. No real reason I picked one over the other. Basically for me, Tom has helped me out in depth many, many times. Not just with batteries, but also charger selection (he doesn't sell chargers either), and what power supply would be best for my needs, heck he's actually shared vehicle setup tips with me back when I was more into racing.

How many vendors do you know of that go that far above and beyond just selling a product?

Can definitely vouch for SMC. Ive bought $450+ in batteries and the RF-160V2 ESC within the last year and the product and service has been 100%. Really there aren't many companies within our realm that don't these days. Just remember that behind the company is a person; treating them respectfully when requesting help goes a long long way. Many of the smaller companies seem to go above and beyond with more personalized service though. I don't think you can go wrong with either company.
