O.S. SPEED .21 XZ-B SPEC. III

Looks good....I have seen transfers cut like that before on some of the Force engines....Anyways sometime in the next 2 weeks I will be dyno testing one of these, so it will be interesting to see what kind of power it has...

I guess I'll break it in this weekend..

Well Last night I started the Ty break in on the motor.
I only had time to do 2 half tanks like he said
and 1 full tank.
I'll try and do 2 or 3 more tanks this evening.
So far This Motor was tight even with me heating it up to 250 or so to start it.
To get it to idle I had to go in 1/8 to 1/4 of turn on the idle gap. As you seen the idle gap was small.
I also, had to lean out the bottom needle 2 to 3 hrs and it ran great after that.
This will be my first xz-b motor. I have been running the vz-b motor and love them.
I can give you more info after today

Some insight from a good friend of mine.
His words
It's smooth like a b2101 but has the rip and top end of a spec II And it's still tight and rich
]]]
Tuning feels a little tighter/ more sensitive on the hsn Carb action is smooth LSN tuned right in. I might be a little lean on the bottom but will see on the track Top end feels like it could be very crazy revs more like the vz line I think this one is going to be great in the track. I have a 6.5 in the truck. Hopefully the mileage comes back like the vz line did. Prob won't be able to tell that on sat but with the months to come

Cool, do some of these engines perform different on the dyno than their stated factory specs. It seems that all of the OS XZB 21 speed tuned engines all have the same HP rating of 2.61 at 34 k. Except my Blue Head XZB ver 2 which according to the info I got with this engine it it was slightly more powerful than the spec two at 130 USDs cheaper. I had an older XZB blue head 21 that ran great for me. I regret selling it but it was part of the deal and then the guy I sold it to blew it up! Thank You Michael

+1, would like to know as well, given the speed spec II performs well as is. I do understand engine changes are performance and fuel mileage related, yet curious with the arrival of the new Spec III, will the newer PSR set affect a Spec II similarly or not. I have noticed some engine pricing changes, so I wonder if the new parts will also come down in MSRP. I am only basing this on the R2101 being priced ~40$ more than the R2102.
Want to know if it handles great in Truggy as the Spec II did?

Omg this motor is so good.. It feels like a dang vspec but it pulls clean all the way to the top. Seems like it. Keeps pulling...
I going good have get other one for DNC 2017 and run reds motors in my track. The sleeve cutting must help with the revs. This is my first xzb i only have been running VZ-b motors. I have 4 of them..
Maybe once Max get his in the dyno we will see the numbers.
Also I'm. Have the buku clutch on. Eb mod pipe 2041.
OS said run the 2060 pipe with this motor wonder why..
Is the 2060 Rev pipe?
I also. Have a 2090 coming and I have the OS 2050 pipe and header too to try out..
I hope to get out this weekend and race and try some Things pipe wise..
When guys get a chance go to the onroad forum and check out the OS GT spec 3 sleeve and crank.. It's cut down on the sides more than this motor

So it revs like you have a light flywheel? Curious what are you running it in? How many tanks through the motor, and what is your mileage.
#44
I'm running it in a kyosho tki4.
The last tank I ran was the 12 of ty break in..
Not sure the mileage yet sir.

Well Just got my 2090 pipe in and Man what a different it is vs the EB mod 2041 and the 2060 pipe
The 2090 just works. S. Bess said it. Its the go to pipe to get if you running teh xzb block.
I still want to try the 2050 i have..
So 2060 very punchy on the bottom
2090 very smooth and easy on the wheel spin.
This is with the BUKU clutch M. Houston CLutch settings.
This bad boy fly's now
Also, thank you Buddy L. for the help.
