Just got my finished build video complete. Turned out pretty good with some RawSpeed wheels/tires and some access from Schelle:

It's pretty.
Let's see it perform with a non-sponsored driver.
I am in the market for another kit and I was looking at the HB D216 .... since a sales rep / club racer at my local track runs it and almost sold me one. It's heavier than a B5M lite (which I race) reason it's easy to drive. (super important to me) And the parts are priced slightly cheaper than the AE (according to the sales rep).

I'm sure the D216 is a great car but did the rep give you any indication that the parts were always readily available? That's the thing. I wont by Xray anymore because I shouldn't have to order parts from Europe if I'm in a bind. That's why for a regular racer an AE is usually a better choice in my opinion. I had and D413 and loved it but there were times when I just plain could not get parts. I run the track shop and I can always keep your AE or Kyosho car on the track (TLR too but I won't sell those).

I am going to install the MIP Super Diff Bi-Metal in one of the gearboxes I have for my B6D. I have some Schelle caged thrust bearings left over from my B5m, will they also work with the MIP diff? I know the MIP comes with its own thrust bearing and groved bearing race, just wondering if anyone knows if the MIP diff uses the same size thrust bearing as the stock AE diff?

The quality on some of the early 22 and SCTE kits was so poor that I'll never purchase anything TLR branded again. Doesn't matter what they do or what they come out with. The quality of their hard parts was so terrible that I'm soured on their brand. There is nothing that they could do to get me back.,,,I wouldn't run/sell any of their cars if I got them for free.

And from what I saw when the 3 gear came out, lots of people were having issues with play in the top shaft causing stripped spurs.
