I'm planning to build my B6D with the machined shock bushings and machined shock pistons.

For the bushings I'm using AE 91494, but for the Pistons I've been debating between the AE machined and the Schelle. I'm leaning twards Schelle because they are sold in packs of 2 while the AE pistons come per 4 pack (I'm planning to start with the kit setup of 2x1.6 & 2x1.7). Any reason why the AE machined Pistons would be better than the machined Pistons from Schelle?

updated the front page and the wiki. As a reminder, the wiki can be edited by anyone, so if you see something that should be up there, add it!

The car comes with the machined bushings.

Edit: sorry, I see you mean the machined spacers.

I thought the same based on some early AE employee Q&A sessions I saw online, but like Wildcat notes above the manual says differently.

Wink Went with the B5m

I went with the B5m. I actually bought two. One for my son and I both. A little birdy told me that they might actually be coming out with a b6 conversion kit. Heard it may be coming in November or early next year. Plus it was too good of a deal to pass up. $500 for two team kits and all electronics included. Except for receiver and radio which I already have.

No, they won't be. The entire car, from the shocks to every single piece of plastic is different.

The ONLY shared parts are few. Front axles, some of the bearings and a few others are the same.

Pretty sweet deals on these b5m's. Couldn't come close to finding something of this quality walking into a hobby shop and picking up 2 race ready buggies for a father and son. Congrats

Maybe a kit to convert a B6D, to a B6 and vice-versa. But a B5M to a B6... nope. Possibly a B6 gearbox conversion for the B5M, but that's doubtful too.

Bummer, because I ordered what fit the b5m. Had no idea they changed the shock body length and I feel like I've read plenty on this car already. At least they both take the same shafts from what I can tell in the manuals. Just a little warning for those that are looking to get the kashima shock bodies. You will have to run the optional 91666 rear shock tower with the 31mm shock bodies.
Just get the longer rear shock tower and you can run the b5 rear shocks. I believe the part number is listed s couple pages back .
