John Newbie buys a kit, comes out to the track and ends his race day before running a qualifier because he broke in practice. What good does it do me to have a car, break something, and then not be able to replace it? This is the Number 1 reason why I never pre-order a kit or heck, even consider buying one until I see parts on the wall. So have we changed our ways this time around?

You haven't been watching AE's website, have you?

Parts have started to pop up...

True, but you can be the best driver in the world but things happen beyond your control and well...*$%% happens.

Not trying to tote my ability to drive... Because I'm not an expert just wanted to point out their durability!

Excited for the b6, it's coming quick...... Should be interesting to compare it to the b5m with 3 gear lay down. Because in my eyes the only true game changer will be the rear shocks in front of rear arms.

IMO, the b6 has a lot of small things that are nice. Most of which wont effect lap times.

That's the exact way I look view it because the b5m wasn't "broke" so don't fix it.. Not too much anyway just enough to keep evolving. I think it will be a very nice kit and look forward to picking up one up in a special model like I did with the factory lite and I think it will be a very popular car and a very winning car at the top levels for the next couple years again

Dont hold your breath for a special model. Looking at the b6, makes me wonder if there will be one. They may be taking the route of Kyosho and TLR. The b6 has a lot of option parts on it. In the past AE made a "basic" car, then released a FT a year later. But the B6 comes with more upgrades than the B5M Lite did. So, unsure there will be a B6 FT car next year. Even the B6 chassis is already lightened.

Understand where you are coming from.

If you look, there are molded plastic pieces for the steering bell-cranks and arms. Even though the current pictures show they are aluminum. I can't imagine the kit having them. Or maybe a representative said yes it is coming with aluminum pieces and if so that shoots my theory.

sure, AE could put all the alum parts on it and call it a FT. I just dont think they will. I think it comes with the critical items already. The rest is option parts. My point was the B5M came out after a year, and the B6 is as good or better equipped. If I were AE, I would the the car alone until something changes in the market, like the whole laydown/mm thing. Alum hubs and bell cranks should be left as option parts.

Those are and should be option parts. As they are very situational and less durable.

Have the manuals up tomorrow by 6PM EST and I will believe boys.
I think you are giving me too much credit.

I don't think the manual will go up today as some people involved are off. But it will not be much longer.

that's great. I'll believe it when they hit the walls here, especially since we're 80% AE as far as racers go.
