Default Wire size question

Just ordered a new tekin rx8 and T8 2250 truggy motor for my ET48.3.
Going to run on 4s 6700 60c Batt. Has #10wire Deans plug ok?
Just wondering what size wire i should get for the motor wires?

The deans red ultra plugs are actually really good, and can handle 150+ amps of burst, and I have personally put them under 40 amps of continuous draw for an entire 7000mah pack and they did get warm but not hot. They should take the amperage just fine but I would wrap a piece of tape or a zip tie around them for the race, as they are not a locking plug and can unplug themselves. Performance wise they are equivalent to bullet plugs.

12 gauge motor wire will be fine, you will just need to have a good solder joint because the RX8 posts can be a little funny.

A free bit of advice is to remember that in an RX8 the solder posts are part of the ESC cooling system and should not have a piece of shrink wrap or other insulator wrapped around them. People have smoked ESC's for smaller mistakes.

Thanks, Wasnt sure about the motor wires.
Already had to resolder rx8 on a used Trugg we got. The deans does fall out on hard slap landings of not strapped down. moved wiring already in that one to put wire under one of the battery straps. Seems ok now. Just want to make this truck is right the first time.
Thanks for the advice.
