38-42 pinion?

i ordered the x1 yesterday. i cant wait for it to arrive. it will be my very first on road car.

im going to use a hobbywing v3.1 esc and a hobbywing v2 bandit 21.5 motor.

What's wrong with that? Wear it with pride.

The HW bandit is not a ROAR legal motor and it will make the car harder to drive, more power. People at small tracks already complain legal 21.5 motors are too fast.

Adjusting the throttle EPA and expo are effective ways to deal with "too much power" from a 21.5.

Isn't too much power in a stripped down 2wd car what F1 racing is all about ??? Maybe we should start using the 55t crawler motors instead...lol...

i doubt ROAR cares since i will be driving it in the parking lot of taco bell. However, if they do come by, i will let them know you warned me

im just messing around, but i honestly dont race. i am only using a 21.5 because it was recommended. im new to on road rc

also, is there a gear diff available for this car? if yes, is there a link to it?

It's a pan car. No need for a gear diff. Complete diff rebuild and breakin is 5 minutes tops.

Someone is coming out with an aftermarket pan car rear axle and gear diff, but don't hold your breath. Chances are it won't be too fast either.

I guess it would have made more sense to call them "cookie sheet" cars. But with all the neon pink clothes and weird mustaches back then, "pan cars" sounded more manly.

Pan car: Usually a flat, single deck chassis with a simple solid axle/Ball diff driving the rear wheels. Suspension designs vary but again are much more simple then most other car designs.
