I would love to see the truck handle 12s, or even 10s. Not hating on your thread.

1. How do you plan to keep the tires from exploding?

2. Where are you going to install (2) 8s packs? My 12s packs take up a lot of real estate.

I am waiting for a video of this setup. The guys with 8S setups are already having drive line issues so this thing is going to destroy the stock drive line unless it is driven very carefully. Subscribing to this thread.

I can't wait to see this. I'm thinking about using a Posideon in my MT project. But I think I'll stick to 6s.

I just got mine today. Looks good. Surprising how light it is for the size, weighs half what the losi 5ive does - that thing is a tank

Gotta change the batt connections and charge batts...

I think that that is because the 5ive has an aluminium chassis, and thicker steel driveshafts, bigger diffs (?) hexes etc?

Whatever you do, don't let it run into your shins. I was dialing in the reverse settings and totally ran myself over. It hurt.

I got hit by a full on Race Supermaxx that had about 15' of run up. WOT into my leg. Wasn't pretty. Probably won't do that again.

Sadly, my father-in-law has had a brain hemmorage and we have been up in Asheville every day tending to that so I've not even had time to change connectors and test the new X out.

That could not have been fun. It is easy to forget how hard a hit 20+ lb truck can deliver at 35 mph. I can't imagine how hard a hit an 8S or 16s X-Maxx would deliver. Reminds me of the Traxxas XO-1 safety video when it slams into the car door.
