WD40 contains silicone which causes extreme wear to the piston surface, if you are using WD40 in your engine you will lose compression very quickly.

Do not do what this guy does then and run your car off of WD40!

What if you use wd40 sparingly (a tiny amount in the fuel inlet to displace remaining alcohol/nitro and keep the o-rings happy) and then follow with ARO through the plug hole? WD40 is a terrible lubricant (it's a cleaner, not a lubricant) and I could see it hurting stuff if it was by it's self in an engine.

My method was to make sure the engine was at operating temp (above the boiling point of water at the head) before pinching off the fuel line or running it out of fuel, then when I got home a little wd40 through the fuel line and my ARO (which is 50/50 marvel mystery oil and ATF) through the cylinder. I've been doing this for years on my airplanes and offroad stuff, but then again I don't run my finicky on road stuff very often. Also I run either O'Donnell racing blend, or Byron's when I can find it.
