Here's a rough estimate on the Saturday mornings controlled practice running order. It's too early to give a grid/group listing but the classes are grouped together.
Starting 9.30am

2wd stock A
2wd stock B
2wd stock C
2wd stock D
2wd mod A
2wd mod B
2wd mod C

Stadium truck B
Short course
4wd stock A
4wd stock B
4wd stock C
4wd stock D (if needed)
4wd mod A
4wd mod B
4wd mod C
This is subject to change.
Note. This isn't the running order for qualifiers.

twisted i think there may be a open track before controled practice? also i think jr ,stock 2wd, mod 2wd,st ,sc, 4wd st, 4wd mod, might practice in classes insted of 20 groups?
so hopefully u may get enough practice to feel comfortable?

To all involved, thank you soo much for a great weekend , racing was soo close, qualifiying even closer.
Thanks to all that helped with the new track / layout, it made racing extremely enjoyable and the fastest blue groove I have driven on.
Epic battles in every race with passing available from kerb to kerb. Highlight for me was watching both the 4wd classes trade lead changes every opportunity given.
Glen Bonetti 22.048
Cameron Zammit 22.057
Ashley 22.362
Andrew Selvaggi 22.374
Mark Rogers 22.4
Jody Cecil Denner 22.406
Simon Healy 22.46
Kyle Sanders 22.469
Scott Cameron 22.484
John Watkins 22.557
Carter Sims 22.566
Todd George 22.61
Warren Nelson 22.759
Andrew Adamic 22.831
Luke Chmielewski 22.865
John Grenville 22.898
Andre Morton 22.947
Look at those lap times less than a second separating 17 of 30 drivers!
Thanks guys

Just to give an indication how big this knox cup is, we have 20 races per round in qualifiers, thats 2 and half hours to do one round! We'll be running 3 qualifiers , 3 finals for As, 2 for lower, to give everyone maximum races, starting on Saturday was our choice.
With that all said, racing this weekend will be amazing, I'm positive everyone who attends will enjoy themselves.

So what now, are the other clubs FREE to change any detail they like, eg; remove classes as they see fit????

For what it's worth, it was great to have two finals. I don't know how I'll do Mildura over two days but it really made a difference having two finals.

Anyway from the feedback that I'm hearing and the postive posts on FB, they had a fantastic weekend and are happy with how the event was run.
I don't know how posting here is going to help your grievance but i hope you do find some kind of resolution.

Are you suggesting we should run less races to fit it all one day?? Well that sounds unfair to the driver's that don't make A finals.

It is a conundrum Jason. I don't know what the answer is because the cost of a day off for me to go to Mildura on the Friday is unjustifiable but it was so bloody good doing two finals instead of one and the fast guys still got rewarded with three and we finished in daylight so for a crappy racer like me perhaps missing practice and getting two runs in the C may be worth the trip. Maybe not so good for the fast guys that come 11th and 12th but they get so many other advantages usually by making an A in another class. Only thing is (and I think someone already apologised) greater forewarning.
But how good was the track and the racing!!!!!

Here's something that has been suggested and possibly worth a try, and that's to run all races for junior, 21.5, short course and truck on the Saturday and the 2wd/4wd stock and mod buggy classes on the Sunday.
Food for thought.
The grooved up track certainly gave value for money, glad to hear you liked it, we busted a nut getting it down but worth the effort.

Oh forgot to mention about the racing! I saw well and truly my share of racing over 2 days lol and the standard of everyone was the best i ever seen, drivers were correcting their collision (high majority haha) and racing cleanly and fairly, seeing everyone shake hands on the last final before decending from the drivers stand was pure sportsmanship that should be commended.
So thanks to everyone who competed it made the job of race control much easier.
I look for to running another big event at Knox in the not too distant future and i promise planning will be spot on.
Cheers Jason.
