T-Maxx Conversion

Looking for opinions on 2 power systems from hobbywing this is what i want to go with so please limit opinions to this. I'm looking at the EzRun WP SC8 Power System Combo w/ 3400 kv now i know it is a little high but i'm also not looking to destroy my driveline, on the other hand i'm also looking at hobbywing quicrun 8bl150 and quicrun 4074 2000kv my question is will this 2000kv be to much for my driveline? I have seen another guy run the wp sc8 combo on a tmaxx and he liked it but i want to spend wisely and get speed and torque. I will also be running robinson racing 65t slipper kit, and still debating if a robinson racing 20t pinion would be the way to go.

I had the Quicrun 150 you're asking about, till a bad battery fried the ESC. Was very happy with it's performance. A 2000Kv motor might be a little too much for the stock diffs unless your willing to do an 8th diff upgrade. Maybe a 2650 would be a better choice instead of the 2000 or the 3400. I really think that the 3400 will run too hot and not that efficient in a truck the size of a Maxx. Your choice of 65/20 would be a good starting point then adjust as motor/ESC temps allow.
Would also like to throw the HW Max8 at you. Have two of them now and very happy with both of them. The advantage of the Max8 over the Quicrun 150 is, the internal bec is adjustable to 7.2 volts. So in the future if you decide to run a HV servo you won't need and external bec.

I assume the 3450kv is a 550 size motor and you'll be running it on 3s? If so it can be geared to love but isn't going to be too fast. I'd get a 4074 size motor on 4s instead so temps won't ever be a problem.
If your truck is a 4910 with the stock drivetrain you are going to have problems no matter which motor you choose. I knew someone with a 550 motor on 3s and the plastic driveshafts kept twisting all the time. I shimmed the older style diffs for him after he blew one up and they seemed to hold after that. The black trans was another story, the single speed conversion and other gears weren't up to the task. We had to do the mod where you put 2 gears on the intermediate and output shaft instead of only having one on each. Combined with a metal geared input shaft the transmission was then able to hold up to the power.
