Serpent Natrix 748e

I did tried the hobby wing SCT setup as well but found it too heavy really. Plus with the longer motor found chassis balance L/R was an issue. I do prefer the 540 4.5 - 5.5t setup to be honest. Car feels more balanced and is better to drive. True to have to watch your gearing to avoid getting too hot but that really isn't an issue.

Not a huge amount. Just the new bits from the 748 gas car such as the new 'TQ' diffs. The motor mount arrangement, centre pulleys and the way the top deck connects makes the 748e flex in a more uniform manner. I had the 747e which was a conversion from the previous seasons gas car and now a fresh build 748e and the 748e is definitely a better car than the 747e.

true true true. that is a major issue that igored to much. finally not that its winter im going to try and set it up correctly. a little annoyed that serpent is so expensive and its seems there arent many places to get replacement parts for my 747e. prolly shouldnt had hit that curb at 70mph

I ran foam tires last ourtdoor season on my Eryx, it was much more fun than running rubber tires. This season I will run a 748e outdoor, no racing but I can bugg my Nitro friends
I really like the durability aspect with big bearings. In the steering knuckels 10x15 instead of 5x10 and 2.5x8x12 on the eryx. Downside is the extra weight, will be interesting what will happen with the laptimes compared with the Eryx and foams on my hometrack

Remember you run 30mm wide rears 26mm wide fronts on the 748. On the ERYX you would have been running 26mm front and rear. My guess is with the same motor/esc on 2s the ERYX would probably be faster over a lap but more difficult to drive on the limit. The 748e is just more fun and easier to drive fast.

The internal ratio is the same as the 747e so you can use this calculator on the serpent site.

plenty of torque. which means endless gearing
