Well yesterday was the first time running the zx6 I bought off eBay and it wasn't to bad. Does anyone make a way to put the rear shocks on the back of the arms. The track I run at is very low traction and I think I could benefit from moving the shocks to the rear. Thanks

This is going to make it difficult to impossible to install pretty much any other part (even if bolt patterns are the same).
You could get creative and shift it forward but then other problems will arise...

Kyosho ZX6 - on Carpet
Hi Guys,
Looking for set-ups for the ZX6 on carpet. I've seen the 2015 worlds & Tebo's set-ups and Astro. set ups too, but any advice or pitfalls to avoid, would be much appreciated

Interested in this as well. Is it better to run with slick rubber or foam on a ZX6 for carpet?

I'm sure it's been covered in this thread, but I recently picked up a secondhand zx6 and it came with 5-hole pistons.
Whats all the hype around the 2 hole piston? Yes, I understand the the fluid mechanics behind it, but never knew why Kyosho guys preferred the two hole route.
Thanks!

I run Pro-Line Pinpoints (F/R) and/or Schumacher Stagger Rib 2.2 fronts / Mini Pin 2 rears on my ZX6.
The key to a good carpet setup is mitigating traction rolling. Unfortunately the track layout and carpet type (both vary from track to track) dictate side loads so it is tough to take a setup and say "this will work for you".
A lot of people like the Roger Mills "Astroturf Base Setup with Shortie" setup on PetitRC as a starting point. Work from there.

Use the ZX5/6 sway bar,
Swap the lower sway bar mount ballcup, to the med length shock rod end, put in the stock plastic ball in the shock rod end, then mount he lower sway bar mount inside the arm and run a screw through the sway bar mount hole in the arm to catch the new sway bar end inside the arm. It'll float just a tick, if you really want to, you can shim the lower sway bar mount in the arm tighter a couple ways.
It's super easy to do and it saves the cost of a whole sway bar kit you'll likely not need, u less you want it for the 2wd. If I remember correctly the RB6 sway bars are just a bit narrower than the ZX5/6 ones.
In the pic, I used a couple RB6 shock mounts trimmed and keyed to the arm to keep the lower mount from floating some, but it's not crucial to do.
