Not really anything from Tamiya themselves. Despite looking quite basic the actual kit system works really well if you use proper battery tape. I have never had a battery fall out, despite some occasional (ish) large crashes.

I did mess about with a battery system for a friend in cad, but unless you want to drill more holes in the chassis, it will need to be a large(ish) part to be secure.

Yeah, I just like the tray idea with a top carbon strap to secure it in place. Never had a issue with tape either, just like the security blanket that is a mechanical part.

What is the body stabilizer (aluminum) you are using?

So today I drove my 419 after all changes.
What a difference it was to my previous setup with Samix chassis and standard shocks...
Have the feeling all the parts worked together absolutely great.

Car was definitely sharper to drive and I could carry more speed through the corners.
Was also very constant, at the end of the day it was 0.9 sec faster than my fastest lap at the local track.

Will play more with setups as I get, but for the first outing I'm absolutely stunned.

Carpet indeed, at this time of the year it's indoor only.

Here is what I remember from last run, was a spontaneous visit to the local club so I didn't note down the setup.

Marc Reinhardt wins the race at MCSS Althengstett.
In the first final he won with 7sec distance and the second Race with 3sec distance. Marc Prümper for example, was there.
The new Tamiya must be really very cool like a weapon.

Cool! Interested to know the field of racers he was against. As Ronald etc are at the DHI cup. I was told today that the new TC is about 6-12 months away before we get it.

I fitted some really low profile towers for X-ray shocks as a few people wanted me to make them a set.

I didn't have the right springs so i was not as quick as I wanted to be. I'm going to try them again next week as I've got some X-ray springs and a loan set of shocks coming. Although I still think that compromising Spring length seems a bigger sacrifice than going even lower profile, unless the surface is perfectly smooth.

Is the stock TRF 419 spur gear (116t) actually 64 PITCH or is it 0.4 module like the F1?
