I have a quick question regarding FDR. I bought my 15 used and the person before me said he installed metal diff gears. By doing that do I now have a different internal ratio for when I am figuring FDR? Stock internal ration is 2.5 I believe but thought I saw somewhere that the steel bevel gears were different than the plastic ones.

just noticed Proline makes the 12mm hex at the same size of xray so you get the right offset. also they are half the price. hate to put another brand out there as having more is even more confusing but it is half the price and in the info section it says it keeps the standard offset.

I replaced the front upper deck on my 16 with the optional brace. Now I am concerned that after hard landings the chassis at the front is more prone to bend ( at the kick-up). Does I have to worry about that ?
Is seems to me a contradiction that with the optional brace we are looking for more grip on high traction surfaces but on the other hand introduce more flex. Can someone explain the theory behind this ? Thx.

I am not aware of an X-ray specific rim from Pro-Line.

I heard ppl that have a 13/14 car that want 16 bulkhead have to modify the shock tower. But my bud says he also had to modify the top brace in order for it to fit. Is this the case for anyone else?

IIRC the top brace needs to be shortened at the front to clear the newer bulkheads because they added material to the upright portion that holds the tower in place. I do not know about shock tower mods for the 16 bulkhead because I have not used that bulkhead on my '13 car.

Either way the top deck fix is super easy, just grind it down a bit to clear that area and you're done.
