I will assume your running mid motor since you said you did the side pod mod. With that being said, MM doesn't brake as good as RM setup since there's less rear bias weight. MM with shorty will be the worse for braking..Try using the brakes prior to the turn while the truck is straight and letting off the brakes before turning. If it loops on the straight, lower your ESC braking %...As you said, narrowing the rear should help. I would also play with anti-squat and rear camber lengths... It's not about how fast you get into a corner, it's all about how fast you go through and come off a corner!!

Would anyone happen to know the spring rate of the kyosho gold short course springs front and rear?

got in a full raceday and the truck is really pretty good. im still stuggling with a ervous truck under raking and looking for more rear side bite. im now running .5 toe rear hubs and they are 1mm back on the arms. running the saddle pack like tebo had in his truck and on red rear springs. im thinking that the battery weight is to far back and thebred springs are letting the truck roll too much. i went longer on rear links which helped a little. it sound wrong but im thinking yellow rear springs

Shorten rear camber links
Add more negative rear camber (up to a certain point)
Lay down shocks more (in on tower, out on arm)
Decrease anti-squat

Are you running the Alum rear suspension hangers (UMW705 & UMW707)?

Feel free to share your setup. I am looking for a new starting point and I am hoping your track is similar to mine, indoor and not loose or low grip. Thanks!

Hi guys,

Is it still worth getting the SC6 as for now? The reason i am asking is that i do not want to get caught off guard buying the kit when a new version suddenly pops up the next day or so.

I know how quickly this hobby updates itself so i would appreciate some advice.

If you're Kyosho loyal then yes, get the sc6. I have not heard anything about a new version in the works. If your not brand loyal, I would look at the SC5M even if you run on low bite surface. Don't get me wrong, i love my sc6 but feel the SC5M is a better value and performs just as good.

Thank you for chiming in some thoughts. As for now, i am not loyal to any brand as i am not sponsored in any way.

I used to race electric touring cars and stopped for a number of years due to other obligations. Now i am working and living in Japan and slowly getting back into the hobby but in offroad instead.

Will check out one of the local track nearby tomorrow to see how good parts support are and which brands are available.

Thank you again

Hey everyone, quick question, what effect does the .5 and 1mm spacers that go between the chassis and the front caster block have? I've been searching, but haven't found a clear answer yet.
