Has saved me some carnage.
I've heard that some of the first batches of Shock shafts were problematic. Either overly brittle and snapping or bending. I've broken two or three shafts so far.

I'm pretty sure back several pages in this thread we discussed possible alternatives. Traxxas is one of them and they offered a TiNi version as well as a standard version. I'd like to see chrome versions as well as TiNi.

I've since replaced mine with standard HB shock shafts as I had already invested in VRP pistons as well as RC shox. I'd have to get new pistons if I trade to Traxxas shafts.

Yes, for price and wanted to try aluminum. I really wanted schnelle +4 aluminum but was out of stock and more money. I just realized my top plate is broken too. I guess I'll have to return avid and get the schnelle. I was busy working on my e buggy I forgot to look over d413 before I ordered.

I've only broken 2 in a year of driving mad I mean MAD MAN. both were my fault with hard hits nothing should withstand. My chassis should of broke a long time ago. Point is its all about how you want to drive it. Things break.

Thanks for the response. I will try that!

Just solved my problem. I gonna use broken cf stock chassis to make new front top plate, it'll be easy. Back in biz. I was just about ready to throw chassis in trash and thought this may come in handy. Oooh top plate!

I always keep broken cf shock towers and chassis. Never know when you might need a fan mount or shock tower braces or whatever. A dremel cutoff wheel and sanding drum and you can make a lot of useful stuff.

Just noticed that the schelle alu chassis had holes for the Avid floating servo mount. Nice touch schelle! Will try it out tomorrow 😊
Also got the proline body..must say that i like the proline body better than the stock one. More room for wires, one piece and good looking👍

Thanks:-)
Got it to the track yesterday but we had some heavy rain and parts of the carpet was soaking wet. It was hard to notice any difference. We also had some problems with light so it was a battle just to stay on the track...im using tamiya tires, they have more grip (when its dry) then mini pin. But i think those tires are discontinued :-(
I will try again on Sunday but its probably gonna rain all week.. does anyone have setup tips for wet carpet ? 😂

I need to replace the shock ends on my car. The only way I see to buy them is with the shock parts kit which has other parts I don't need. Is there another shock end that works with these shocks?

Anybody try the Exotek center diff cap? Just installed and noticed there's no play almost like the bearings are binding up. Just got the buggy and never noticed if it did this with the stock cap/spur gear. Doesn't spin freely.
