Did Alex K from Connecticut go to Japan? It looks like him holding the USA sign in the opening ceremony picture.

No...Alex was qualified, but couldn't make it. Alex will be attending the JConcepts Indoor Nationals this weekend at RC Excitement.

Ahh...calling it hub and ackerman threw me off

As far as I know most of the team guys have gotten away from that mod, but I will have to check and see if that will be incorporated into the new steering block.

All the new alloy parts with the exception of the new chassis will be a end of year or early 2016 release. The new chassis should be released within the next 2 weeks

Easier to go up from, than shave down an alum hub Say it is weight savings, lol. It would be nice for more bump steering tuning.

Like you have alluded to, sounds like the close-ended wheel nuts are not allowing the wheel nut to fully engage into the wheel. Our more current wheels shouldn't have this issue and I would recommend using an open-ended wheel nut for those older wheels.
just saw your post and thought I would give a little update.
Found one of my closed end wheel nuts (tekno) had a small dent in it. Must have caused it to not tighten properly. So no problem there, i'll fix my post.
I bought them a little over a year ago from Amain and never got around to using them until recently. I have however had all 4 wheels almost completly come unglued on one side. Never had any problems with any other pre-mounts that I have bought. I will also check that up to the amount of time they sat around, maybe the glue just got old. No biggie I just glued them back up.
Other than that I really do like the feel of the tire.

Just got home from the JConcepts indoor nationals at R/C Excitement in Fitchburg MA. Great showing from the Jconcepts drivers in attendance. All courteous and helpful.

Thanks to JConcepts for sponsoring the event.

are the jConcepts 12mm hex hubs for the rear of sc10.2 wider than the stock ae clamping hubs?......after awhile my rear wheels are kinda wobbly from always removing and tighting with the jConcepts serrated nuts...and im maxed out on tighting.....

The JC hexes are the same width.

When you start with a fresh wheel, you don't have to over tighten them when using the JC wheel nuts. If you do continually over tighten them or just use the same wheel for a long period of time, the serrations will eventually wear or crush the wheel and it will get to thin where the wheel nut locks onto the wheel.

Also keep in mind that each brand of wheel is different, some wheels are softer/stiffer than others, they can be slightly thinner or thicker where the wheel nut makes contact, different types of plastics, etc...

thanks for the info...I do use the same wheels all season for racing....I did use a washer on the outside of the wheel to keep it from wobbling to get through the last race I was in...but it kinda defeats the whole purpose of the serrated nut.

Paul, will the new JC aluminum shock caps for the 5 series be available in blue ano or just black? The ones in the vid were black. I know the other shock parts will be avail in both, just want Confirmation if the shock caps will be too.
