Someone have any idea about the differences between those two systems? Have hard time to find any valuable information. I'm looking to install it in a 1/8 scale truggy electric version (new Losi 8ight-T-E or Team Durango DEX8T roller, not decided yet). I always run it on the track on 4S LiPo.
Sidewinder 8:
fix Bec: 5,5V
up to 11lbs vehicule
1515 series motor
2200Kv
60000rpm
220$
Mamba Monster 2:
adjustable Bec voltage 5-7V
up to 15lbs vehicule
1515 series motor
279$
Those 59 extra $ worth it? I can't believe the only difference is the programmable Bec voltage. Any advice?

I've got both and the 8 stays right next to the mm2 at all times. You can pick, either a set of losi 8ight Truggies converted to brushless(2.0 & 3.0); mbx6Te & mbx7te; or a set of Yeti XL's. They both run side by side and seem to keep the same temps, this was with full 3.8 proline sand paddles on all of them at the beach here a few times this summer. Think Texas costal heat.... No issues. Only issue that I've had is every now and then a screw will back out on the motor on the wire side. I probably need to loc tite them...

Hi, Thanks for the advice, any web link for this motor, are they available in Canada? I own a Tekin T8 for my Losi 8ight-e buggy this combo is amazing with sensored motor it's silky smooth and lots of top sped more than I can actually handle on a track most of the time with 4S!!!
. Major problem is the price the Gen II cost at least 30% more than Castle product... I'm good enough to see the difference... I doubt it I'm not racing just using my RC always on the track with some friends to have some fun. I also own a sidewinder 3 to replace a defective VXL Esc from Traxxas and was (for the money...) very surprise, this esc is great and I can program it with Castle Link which we can't with Traxxas esc. This one of the reason I was asking about Sidewinder 8.

MOTOR: No not quite, the HPI Tork motor is a budget version of the Castle 1515.
